Toruń is such a lovely city!
Toruń is such a lovely city! Absolutely walkable, beautiful architecture, great athmosphere, a blend of history, culture, art, cuisine, you name it. I highly recommend all of the museums. I personally visited the Townhall museum (if you want to go to the tower, just get a combined ticket for the townhall as well, it is absolutelly worth it), the Gingerbread museum, the Fortress museum, Tony Halik's & the museum of art of the Far East in the House under the Star, and the House of Nicolas Copernicus.
I also loved just strolling through the streets and on the river bank, and at night I went to the bridge to see the citylights reflected in the river.
I think this is a great weekend spot for anyone - solo travellers, couples, families, seniors, just anyone. I highly recommend this Polish gem to everyone.

Torun is a city for people who like to enjoy the taste of decor, architecture and style, especially Gothic. It is small but atmospheric, the staff in restaurants, hotels etc. is very polite and helpful in everything. Fantastic city for 2-3 days.

A beautiful small town that retains that medieval feel. There are quite a few attractions and museums, but many are a bit overpriced for what little is inside them. The gingerbread is amazing, the many choices of restaurants is welcome, and everything is within a very short walking distance. There is quite a bit of live music too, from jazz to punk, that can be found in the many small bars and venues in the town. Toruń is definitely a great place to stop for a night or two.

I visit Torun regularly as I have family there. It's a gorgeous old town but quite small. Many different museums etc and the planetarium is a must. A very wide selection of restaurants and other food related outlets. People very helpful. River promenade is usually gorgeous but there was some major work going on in July when I visited last and that hadn't been completed this visit ( Nov) so the river view wasn't as spectacular as in the past. In July, I chose a hotel with a river view which was actually a waste of money as the view was spoiled by the work. This time I went for a more central hotel and had a view of the stunning top of the gingerbread museum. The architecture in Torun is spectacular. One of my favourite places which I would still visit even if I didn't have family nearby. Be aware that as Torun is old, many of the traditional hotels don't have lifts! Not easy to carry a large or heavy suitcase upstairs in some hotels!! Excellent public transport links to other towns and a huge out of town shopping complex at Rubinkowo. Driving is usually straightforward as the city is well signposted but the promenade works have caused some road closures.

Absolutely charming little town.
Absolutely charming little town. We were inspired to visit it after reading Schatten der Welt, which took place there. Super clean, friendly, amazing restaurants everywhere. Huge pedestrian zones. Beautifully restored. Puts Berlin to shame.
We stayed as couple with our toddler and couldn't have wished for a more perfect, warm and welcoming hotel which has lots of character and extremely pleasant staff. The location within the old town and only a few minutes stroll to all the historic sights and the Vistula river make this a perfect place to stay. Our room was lovely with a view of the ruins. l'd highly recommend this hotel without hesitation to any traveller to Torun who wishes authenticity and a hotel who truly cares for its patrons.
Big apartment (50-60m2), it has everything you need, the apartment and furniture is very classy (very good job for choice) and new, it looks much better then in pictures. I would recommend it to everyone. There is a parking space in front of the apartment which you can use to unpack your things and then you need to move your car to underground parking which is in the next street. It is definitely cleanest apartment among many that we visited in Poland
The hotel is perfectly located for sightseeing purposes. Parking spaces for guests are conveniently situated just in front of the entrance. Cozy and very comfortable rooms, a delicious breakfast with a chef preparing eggs according to your order, and very kind and helpful staff make this place exceptional. The availability of electric cars for guests, free of extra fee, is a great advantage. Everything is perfectly clean.
My stay at Heban Hotel in Torun was notably enhanced by its excellent central location. Situated right in the heart of the city, the hotel provides immediate access to all the major attractions and dining options that Torun has to offer, which is perfect for tourists wanting to explore on foot.
While the location is ideal, I found that other aspects of the hotel did not particularly stand out.
1. Close to the center (15 min walk) but in a quiet area.
2. Spacious parking.
3. Spacious room ("Triple room").
4. Friendly personnel - allowed us to check out 1 hour later and use the parking for several hours more, all free of charge.
5. Disposable slippers - for the first time in a European hotel!
6. 3 bottles of water free of charge.
The breakfast was very good, offering a wide variety of options. Although the hotel is not located directly in the heart of the old town, it is just a short walk away. The staff at both the restaurant and the front desk were very friendly.
The decor location, staff and amenities were perfect. Really one of the more unique and special places we have stayed, definitely one of our favorites on our trip to Poland. We also loves torun and wished we had more time to spend there
