I loved the view of the ocean it's right on the beach front, it's also a dive center here and the dive masters and instructors are amazing, I hadn't been diving in over 10 years and was nervous the first day but ended up doing 7 dives over the next week with the friendly people here.

The people who owned and ran Lawson's Beach Resort could not have been nicer to me. They made me feel like a friend. Although the hotel had no restaurant when I visited, there were great options across the road and down the street that J told me about. Best of all, in front of the hotel is a marine sanctuary where turtles rise in the morning and the reef is in a stunningly good condition, only eclipsed by the sunset over Negros in the evening.

Ed and Rachel were great hosts and made us feel at home, we enjoyed chatting to them and hearing their top tips! The room was beautifully decorated and met all of our needs. The breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect, only a short scooter ride from San Juan, in a quiet neighbourhood. Ed also went out of his way to help us when we needed him!
