What I like about the place? THE STAFF! They were genuinely nice and friendly!
We stayed for 4 days and we enjoyed every moment of it. As soon as we arrived, i felt the "homey" vibe.
The food were amazing too!!! Not a single drop of disappointment with the food. Everything we ordered are just delicious!
Special thanks to Jessa, Renj, Pau and Danny who tirelessly always have smiles on their face!
DEFINITELY, we will come back!

Beautiful garden with refreshing pool, enough hammocks to relax, professional diveshop! I did a nightdive and it was great ☺️. It’s a nice place to stay if you want to dive and relax. There’s a yoga studio in town and the beach is really close.

Fantastic dive resort with excellent staff. The service was top-notch from pickup throughout our stay. The in-house dive center offers up to 5 dives a day around the area with great dive masters. The location is clean, quiet, very well maintained and has a lush garden and nice swimming pool. The food is excellent, homemade and has different options. Breakfast is great.

Absolutely loved the villa!! Great design and very spacious. The rooms were super comfortable and the 2 bathrooms were both modern and everything worked great. Nice big TVs and good WiFi.
We arrived late and Vangeline gave us a lovely welcome... thank you to all of the staff, they were so attentive and a nice breakfast was served at the beachside restaurant next door. Thanks again and we look forward to returning in the future! A first class stay!

We stayed in Dauin for one night en route from Dumaguete to Apo Island because I had heard that the Dauin Marine Sanctuary off of Dauin Beach was an awesome spot to snorkel. And it was!!! The coral garden was literally right off the beach within a 1 minute swim. We arrived by tricycle from Dumaguete. We stayed at a resort right on Dauin Beach for easy and quick access. There were multiple restaurants in the area within a 3-10 min walk. We ate at Jardin's. They had a nice variety of very tasty food, and the owners were lovely and accommodating. We stayed late and just chatted with them. We were easily able to catch another tricycle along the main road to get to Malatapay to catch our ferry to Apo Island the next morning.

It's a Divers thing.
It's a Divers thing. If you don't dive there is only the dark sand beach. Very crowded on weekends. Lots of loud ghetto blasters.
No night life except a couple of quiet bars on the main road. No food available after 10pm. Maybe if you're lucky a hotdog stand, but you have to look for it. She changes locations every few days.

Dauin is lovely- I would 100% come back here again and recommend to friends. It is nowhere near as busy as other places we visited on Cebu Island (malapascua, moalboal). The locals seem to care so much more about their coastline and the marine ecosystem- they have designated sanctuary areas where the coral and fish are amazing. There is also a rule that buildings must be more than 30m from the high water mark. The beach is nice - not much rubbish. Dark sand (which can get hot!) You can snorkel right off the beach - lovely coral, fish, turtles etc.
And the area is not too busy. Locals come here for picnics and its a really nice atmosphere.
It must be the typo in the name, this place is definitely not the hostel, but very nice little hotel. It looks new, made with good materials, it’s clean, the towels there are the same quality I had in the hotel which was 2.5 times more expensive than Amigos.
The attention and kindness of the owner and the team is very big plus to the staying there.
Location is convenient for the beach, restaurants and there is even good massage salon in 10 min walk. Absolute recommendation, would stay there again without hesitation.
The dive shop that has an office in the hotel - Apo Dive - was great! I did some shore dives around Dauin, including reef and muck dives, and they arranged the Apo Island day trip. The dive instructors were professional and super nice and helped me find some frogfish in the muck :)
The food in the restaurant of the hotel was also good, though they don’t offer good vegetarian options. Portions were large - I asked for half portions, which they provided (same price as the full portion).
The place was overall amazing and exceeded our expectations. The room was beautifully crafted and complete with necessary amenities. The staff was welcoming and warm, and the drinks they offered were very affordable. Plus points for free wifi. Wished they had food but nevertheless, there are some food places nearby (They even offer delivery to Bongo Bongo). Walking distance to the beach.
Lovely small dive resort on the beach. Very friendly and welcoming. Very professional dive team including boat team. Chester, the Resort Manager was very helpful, informed and nothing was too much trouble. Diving was exactly what we wanted, muck diving for beautiful small marine creatures with the option of day trips to Apo Island where the coral was some of the healthiest I’ve seen.
The location at the beach is great. There are two nice dive sites directly in front of the resort. The reception and dive staff are friendly and helpful. The huts are simple but comfortable enough and priced fairly. They have hot showers which was a pleasant surprise. The diving equipment is in a good enough state, though some wetsuits were a bit worn.
I had very pleasant 5 nights at Mike's! A perfect resort for diving and relaxing. Diving was really fun and well guided. The boat is nice and big. Our Apo Island trip was great.
The beach is directly accesible, there's a pool area and a restaurant with delicious food. Staff is great, too!
Other restaurants and stores in Dauin are 10 min by foot.
Pura Vida is a great resort and we enjoyed our stay. It is clean, safe, the staff are friendly and helpful, the restaurant and bar provide good food and drinks with an especially delicious Swiss Breakfast. The facilities and garden are well kept and situated ideally looking out over Dauin Beach and Ocean.
Perfect place to rest after your dives. This should be called a hotel not a hostel because of how nice it is. Very comfortable beds, good Aircon. Will come back on our next visit! Plus free drinking water.
Excellent staff, location, food and amenities. Peaceful and relaxing. Perfect for people who prefers quiet resorts than busy commercial beaches. Great staff and dive centre.
