Really nice property, the staff is great and helpful with any requests. We liked the breakfast as well as the rooms that were quite spacious and spotless. Its location is great too, very close to the centre, not more than 3-5 mins walking. Overall during the night everything was quiet, the only disturbing thing was when our neighbours next door left very early in the morning and they were too noisy.

Although it's considered the oldest inhabited city of the Americas and Peru's historical capital, neither of these truly describes the magic enchantment and colorful people of Cuzco. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, its current shape is the colonial result of building on top of many Incan sites, a good example of which is the Cathedral of Santo Domingo.
Must-see places include the walled complex of Sacsayhuamán and the remains of the main temple of Coricancha, dedicated to the Sun God, Inti. For longer Cuzco stays, hotels nePlaza de Armas central square are ideal to fully enjoy the city. Due to its 11,150-foot altitude, some Cuzco hotels offer oxygen to help their guests.

Cusco is a very nice and beautiful town.
Cusco is a very nice and beautiful town.
If living in the San Blas area of Cusco, location is perfect and safe. However, there are many steps so choose your accommodation wisely unless you are very fit to be able to climb all those stairs.
Also, most a lot of accommodations dont mention this but there are no heaters. And the water is not as hot - so read reviews carefully and also get confirmation from the hotel before booking if this is important to you. We went in July and we were very cold and uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, our tour guide was very unhelpful. Also, even though we asked for an English speaking guide, he could barely speak in English. This led to our only experience in Cusco wasted and frustrating. Its a once in a lifetime trip, so was very disappointed and felt cheated by the tour guide.
Having said that, it's a nice town. Just research the accommodation options to ensure a comfortable stay.

Two weeks in Cuzco were absolutely wonderful. I took a week of Spanish classes at Amauta and stayed in the San Blas área of the City. The people, the food, the weather, the siteseeing--everything exceded my expectations. What a fantastic place in its own right as well as being the Gateway to the marvels of Machu Picchu.

Cusco, at least the city center, is charming, with narrow hilly cobblestone streets to explore. Lots of good restaurants to taste the traditional Peruvian cuisines, or elevated fusioned. Love Cercanía Pan y Café, a bakery coffee shop with awesome bread options (nearby the Museum of Santa Catalina Monastery, which was House of the Chosen Women under the Incas time). The main plaza is tourist saturated but it's also the charm of traveling?

Everyone seems happy and caring. They don't seem to mind the tourists. Its very unique in so very many ways. Safe, a chance to unwind and get back to nature but with all the modern conveniences if necessary.alot of fun for every type of vacationer. Shouldn't miss the Marriott - great artisans everywhere. The food is so wonderful. Amazing. A learning experience, as well. I left an American and came home an Indian at heart.

The hotel has a great location only 10min walk from the main square in a very safe area. The room and the bathroom was really spacious and clean. The bed is really comfortable. There is hot water and good water pressure (which I heard is not so common in Cusco). The staff are wonderful and helpful people! They stored our luggage’s while we were at Machu Picchu and let us stay longer to wait our transfer from Cusco. This was our best accommodation in Peru. 100% recommended!!!

This was a 5 star hotel under a 3 star rating. The rooms were stunning and with the Inca walls I felt it was an added star or 2. The location was right in the center square and the room was a great size. They had a bath also so a good soak was welcomed.
