Location was good for our purposes and it was good that they had undercover parking. Our carport was right by our unit but for others they would be walking possibly in the rain with the luggage to get from their room to the car.

Nice calm place. Came because children always wanted to stay at a farm. Fantastic host, who had help from to French students. Really Nice for kids to feed alpackas and meet the baby alpackas. Breakfast a bit basic for the Price.

Very busy main road through town but had cafe and tavern and a few various shops and takeaway venues. And not too far from
Waikuku Beach and other towns. Only about 20 minutes from Christchurch by car.

We were only in Woodend for a very brief overnight stay, so don't know enough about the town yet. But we are looking forward to visiting again in the future and taking the time to explore what looks to be an interesting wee town.
