Hands down the best private accommodation we have stayed in! Loved it.❤️
Far exceeded our expectations, with beautiful decor, spotlessly clean, and baking and divine fudge were just amazing.
Sarah was so lovely, and clever in her coordination of everything, style, colour palette, just perfect xx
We adored staying here, and Sarah's recommendation of the local cafe for a meal topped it off beautifully.
Definitely stay here and treat yourself!!!

The location was great. Lovely views, warm and comfortable.
Toi Mahara Gallery was excellent. Also excellent was the Olive Cafe just along from the gallery. All the food was homemade and delicious - very hard to decide what to eat. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to check out Waikanae Beach. We had dinner at Prah Ta Pang a Cambodian restaurant. It was also delicious and would highly recommend it.

The photos of the property lived up to our the warm and sunny property we stayed at. Our grandsons had no time for screens and just played outside, with the the sticks being a highlight and lots of superheros play. Loved the trampoline and swings too! We were 10mins drive to the beach, shops, pool, restaurants etc. The kitchen had everything we needed.
Thank you for a wonderful stay at this special property. We would love to visit in the future.

Waikanae is a real treasure.
Waikanae is a real treasure. Not congested and in the perfect location to be far but not too close to Wgtn central. Fabulous beach and excellent train service. Shops etc. we're great and travel distance to Paraparaumu and Peka Peka beaches each way is awesome.

We liked the local fish and chip shop.Very popular cafes nearby.
We were unhappy that $24 approx per head was added to the rent, for linen costs, when we would have been quite happy to supply our own if we had been given the option!!
We enjoyed driving into see Wellington city as we came from Tauranga.. Some brochures on Wellington would have been helpful.
Ray and Sandy are very friendly and our studio was absolutely perfect for our whanau trip down to Waikanae. Our room had everything we needed, even a cot for our little one. The breakfast and especially the croissants such a great touch and delicious. Our whanau enjoyed the DVD player and watched a few movies in our down time. Beach also is literally 5 mins away and good coffee at the local! Thank you for a very relaxing few days. It was exactly what we needed. Would definitely recommend Near the shore to friends and whanau.
The accomodation is a great renovation of an older house - they have done a great job inside, outside is very unassuming and very suburban.
inside though - modern and super clean and everything you could need for your stay
was really cold in waikanae but the heating options in the house for day and night were great
having the second toilet was great with the family
off street parking was good
communication was good - and an emergency contact available if needed.
After staying in 9 AIR B&Bs, Te Moana Air B&B exceeds all in every way. The facilities were excellent. We had a spacious room, a well appointed ensuite and access to a lounge where we also had breakfast. The Continental breakfast was excellent. Plenty of cereal, muesli and fruit. To top the experience off, our Hostess, Diana, was most gracious and amiable in conversation. I will go back there any time I am in the Kapiti Coast.
This is a lovely, spacious and meticulous cottage behind the main house. There is a pretty garden and the walking trail to Waikanae Beach and The Scientific Nature Reserve is right behind the house. The hosts met us when we arrived to see if we needed anything. They are very friendly and gave us great info on local hikes, activities, and restaurants. I highly recommend this cottage!
Staff are friendly and arrived early and was welcomed in then room was clean bed was comfortable had DVD’s in room to watch aswell peaceful night quite seating outside on chairs with the blankets provided on chairs listening to the waves from beach breakfast food was amazing good choices awesome place to stay
We enjoyed the fresh fruit and range of cereals and bread for breakfast. The location is near to the Waikanae shops and right next to the river trail which was great for walks and bike riding. It's only a 45 minute bike ride or a short drive to Waikanae Beach which is great for swimming.
Comfortable garage apartment--as if your friend or favorite aunt allowed you to use her holiday guest house Homey, thoughtful touches made our stay pleasant. We appreciated the croissants, jams, honey, fresh milk and yogurt, cereals. Pleasant porch and short walk to the beach.
Jill and Tom were very accommodating. We each had a room. The bed was fantastic luxury bedding. The outdoor area upstairs was lovely and private, Tui's flying around listening to their beautiful songs from the trees. A 5 min walk to the reserve and stream.
What a great B&B minutes walk from Waikanae centre with plenty of shops and restaurants. We had a lovely well appointed room with ensuite overlooking the pool which we made use of 😀 and the breakfast was very good 👍 Will be back again.
Located only approximately 8 minutes from Waikanae the property has a luxurious lodge feeling. Definitely has the wow factor. We woke to bird song. We had to skip breakfast but it looked amazing We would love to return.
Very restful stay in lovely surroundings.Everything we could have needed was provided for in the sizable apartment.Short drive to Waikanae with supermarket and very good restaurant choices handy.
Convenience to Waikanae tain station. Owners let me leave my car at the motel beyond my check-out time so that I could use the rail service to get in and out of Wellington. Much appreciated
Great value for a 10 minute drive in from the beach. Spaceous, comfortable, spotless, room was excellent. Great restaurants nearby, hiking trail access, train to Wellington. Thanks!😃
Good location for function at Waikanae Beach. Taxi ride $20.
A bit dated but super clean and tidy. Good heating in living area and bathroom. Great shower.very c
