We very much enjoyed the isolation of the property and its outlook over beautiful scenery. The animals were gorgeous and our host Joanne was lovely indulging my young son's fascination with feeding the animals.

Fantastic location, only a 5 minute walk into the town but zero traffic up and down the street. House and garden superb, as well as the bedroom. The shower pressure is something I will dream about for a very long time. To top it all off, Sandra is a lovely woman with amazing knowledge about a lot of the region. Will be coming here on our next trip to Waihi :)

Great central location with easy access to Waihi itself, and area's such as Whiritoa, Whanagamata, Paeroa within easy driving distance.
Great Steak at The Sterling pub.
When coming into Waihi from Paeroa on a nice day, suggest stopping somewhere along the Karangahake gorge for a walk. Beautiful on a sunny day.

We visited Martha's Mine and the Ole Pump House.
We visited Martha's Mine and the Ole Pump House. This is quite cook esp the "Poppy Fence". Apparently, the walk right round the mine is 5kms so have an extra hour for that.
Supermarkets were easy to find, likewise the take-aways shops.
Lovely small town place.

For me and my interest in family history & genealogy, mining and social history, Waihi is a great place to visit. Great German Bakery and had an excellent meal from Tandori Chambers. Had a wonderful trip on the train from Waihi to Waikino. People everywhere were so helpful and I will return again soon with my wife. I really enjoyed the Memorial to the WW1 tunnelers and the bronze sculptures in the town.
The tent itself is very lovely. Cute, with a basic outdoor kitchenette area (we didn't do anything except boil water for tea). Comfortable queen-sized bed with plenty of blankets if it's cool overnight. Composting toilet was clean and didn't smell at all. Enough solar power to charge a phone overnight. Easy 5-minute drive to the main street in Waihi town (narrow gravel road, but well-maintained) if you need groceries, takeaway meals, or coffee.

Perfect roadside stopover. This is a return visit because we were very impressed on first stopover a few days ago. Large very well fitted out. Kitchen had full stove. Shower was hot and powerful. While this is an older design motel it has been reovated with taste. Scrupulously clean.Linens and towels high grade quality. Price was hard to beat
Everything was exceptional home immaculate 5 star will definitely rebook when back in Waihi
Beautifully decorated both inside and outside
Lovely gardens and relaxed atmosphere
Lovely hostess very helpful and kind Thank you so much for welcoming us into your beautiful home ❤️
We fed the alpacas (even witnessed a mating!) and learned about them from our friendly & relaxed hosts Neil & Joanne. Clean, tidy accommodation with comfortable beds & seating. Lovely views of farmland from our hillside location, with Waihi township not far away.
What a fabulous little cottage! Clean, warm, great facilities, comfy beds and a brilliant location! The furniture and all the little touches around this dear little cottage bought back so may happy memories of our childhood growing up in Waihi!
Great outlook and serenity in amongst the alpaca farm, looking back out onto Waihi. A lovely get away from the city. Fantastic hospitality, Neil was extremely friendly and a great host showing us the alpacas on arrival.
The units were really clean and well set up with everything we needed. The owners were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this motel to everyone planning to stay in Waihi.
This lovely old cottage was perfect for our brief stay in Waihi, great location and very comfortable. We were grateful for the heatpump as we timed our stay with the cold snap going around the country.
This was a very budget hotel with few facilities. It accomodated WINZ clients due to Covid as well. Our room was adequate for the night. The shower was in sad need of revamping.
The property was ideal for us being so close to town and waihi beach. It was immaculate and the owners were easy to talk to and communicate with. See you soon!
