Large & well appointed room, good firm bed, friendly staff & a nice modern bathroom. Location was fairly good too at just a short walk from the main centre of town and across the road from a supermarket for necessities.

It is a short trip into the city of Napier, but Petane has that country atmosphere and suits people who want a bit more peace and quiet.
