The Orchard, hotel in Omokoroa

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, The Orchard is located in Whakamarama. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the The Orchard; the hosts Maggie and Chris were extremely welcoming and the unit itself was spacious and well appointed. The breakfast was great and the bonus tour of the orchard was fantastic. We now have an appreciation of avocado growers - and can now identify the different types of avocados we see in the supermarket!!

    It's beautiful but no diversity.

It's beautiful but no diversity. The locals definitely treat you like a foreigner. We got racial slurs from the local youth, some of the local shops didnt carry eftpos machines. There weren't too many decent food options other than pub food, sushi and pizza. Stand out was definitely the lack of diversity and tolerance for non white people.

It is a beautiful apartment overlooking the sea , I would definitely stay here again as I believe the beach is lovely too , not far from the black walnut wedding venue ( 6 km much better than staying in Tauranga ) We ate at the Pizzaria ( avoid the boat club ) Abrakebabrah in Tauranga has been a fabulous favourite of ours for 10 years and never disappoints.
