Cosy unit. I needed a bottle opener, which was happily supplied. Staff were just lovely. Comfy bed and excellent shower. Booked dinner for 9 as we had family join us on our last night. Fantastic meal and service.

A cute little tiny home, very private and very compact. OK for an overnight stay but would be very confining for longer as no storage room for anything.

Pretty much the last most populated city in Northland if youre heading further north to Cape Reinga. Kaitaia is a great little city. Hub of traditional Maori culture & people. good place. Near Ahipara & Shipwreck bay, one of the best off the beaten path surf spots in all of NZ

Peek a Boo Backyard Eatery is a cool upbeat urban feel, eco friendly place to eat. I sat there for 3 hours at a comfortable table indoors, doing work from my laptop, enjoying a pot of ginger, lemon and Manuka honey tea.
The guys at the Z petrol station on the main drag were exceptionally accomodating, when I placed a hot drinks order for 6 people, ahead of my afternoon meeting.
The mobil station has a brilliant self car wash with a high powere water gun.

Kaitaia is a great base for visiting the far north and places like Ahipara and the 90 Mile Beach. It is a laid back place that definitely is not touristy.
I was cooked the best breakfast I've ever had at Kā Uri in Awanui 6kms down the road.

It’s is worst place to live with your family specially if you are having kids with you. We felt itchy after sleeping on the Pathetic matter. I have attached the photos of my daughter. I personally would not recommend this property to no one at any cost.
Really well laid out studio room, comfortable bed, two chairs, small desk and chair, fridge and microwave, air conditioning, as well as the usual tea and coffee facilities. Restaurant on site, and the food was well prepared. Spotlessly clean and tidy. An older style concrete block motel - nothing "flash", but if you are after clean and comfortable, with friendly staff, and good food, this is excellent value for money. I will be back
a quiet little rural getaway for singles or couples. cute little cabin, clean and private and the bonus is you can take your pet. Surrounded by some farmland a few cattle, but not enough to impact on our time at Breathe In.
Would make a nice solo retreat for someone looking to escape the noise, traffic and business of the city. About a 10 min drive to Kaitaia town centre.
Unit 16 - Very tidy and well presented. Had everything a couple needed for their stay. Even had a couple of biscuits which is a nice surprise and a small container of real milk unlike those little brown ones often found in Hotels/motels. Staff were very polite and friendly. Numbered parking right outside the door with outdoor chairs.
Everything about our stay here was fantastic. The bed was comfy. The unit was bigger than I expected with everything that we needed. The car parking spaces were larger than normal which made for ease of parking a 4wd. The location meant an easy walk to Pak n Save for what we needed and a short drive to Kaitaia shops.
For the price I paid the room was perfect, had everything we needed, very clean, the beds were very comfortable, I honestly slept like a baby. I can't fault the place, I will definitely stay there again if we're ever in Kaitaia again. I will recommend to family and friends, very friendly and helpful staff👌💯
Good sized studio room, with microwave, small fridge, and jug. Plenty of coffee, tea, milk, etc. Really comfortable bed with a good range of bedding. Older, concrete block style motel complex, but spotlessly clean and well maintained. Heat pump in each room. Restaurant on sight.
Nice budget motel. It has all the facilities in the studio room. Nothing fancy but it does the job. There is also a spa and a pool. The location is perfect as it is 2 minutes to the town centre. There is also a nice garden and a trampoline for children. Recommend staying here.
Friendly staff was a bonus. Beds were so comfortable and the kitchen facilities were good. The flexibility of the team at the Motel was awesome as my Sister met us at the Motel and then wanted to stay with us. It was easy to arrange and very affordable. Thank you
This B & B is just as the reviews say: VERY tidy and clean! Quiet and very friendly host, so it was a very good place to stay in Kaitaia. Would recommend it for sure!
The little touches of Sarah's place was very welcoming, and the little touches made us feel very welcome and cozy! it was great way to spend our last day of holiday!
The Kauri Lodge Motel was conveniently located to restaurants, shopping and a park. The host was friendly and helpful. We liked the chairs located outside our room.
