Claire is a great host, we were greeted by their friendly little dogs. The couple has a real farm feel hospitality and are down to earth. Room is lovely and the bed was comfy with soft linen. Had some nostalgic chats about the good old days of show jumping. Really felt comfortable and at home. Actually missed staying here even if it was for one night... The location was perfect for our purposes (an appointment in the Maramarua Forest). It would also be excellent for those interested in the birds at the Pukorokoro Bird Centre just down the road and for those looking for a comfortable stay in a rural setting. Being remote, it is a quiet location. Our host was lovely. She couldn't have been friendlier and provided a hearty breakfast. She also provided us with binoculars for our visit to the bird centre.
