Forest Lodge is down a long gravel road and feels remote. The fire was on when we arrived and Hamish gave a friendly introduction. Kitchen had everything to cook, eat and clean, just bring food. Excellent wifi free of charge.

Rural setting. Peace and quiet.First appearance deceptive - looks a bit run -down, but has all the basic facilities one needs for a stopover. Full kitchen in the studio , so could prepare a decent meal.

Very relaxing area with many outdoor activities to do.
Very relaxing area with many outdoor activities to do. Great for families to walk around Castle Hill around the rock formations or fishing along the rivers and plenty of different walks around the amazing areas. There were mountain biking trails up Porters with the team at Porter's lodge able to drive you back up to the top of the trails.
Definitely keen to get back over to explore some more.
