Friendly welcome at check in and first impressions on walking into the apartment were fantastic. Glorious light, airy space with beautiful views out of every window. Apartment well appointed with a decent separate bedroom with a comfortable bed. Kitchen well kitted out for self-catering and good lounge area with patio doors to sitting are outside. Close to the pub and restaurants in town (up and down a fairly steep hill). Good parking area immediately outside the apartment.

Comfy private- sky in both beds lots of facilities
Soul retreat has a gorgeous position. It overlooks the water and has views from most windows. It is very well equipped. The driveway is exceptionally steep with quite a difficult garage to access. However the drivers became practised in the manoeuvre and it wasn't a problem. Minor inconveniences include the positioning of the fridge door which blocks access to the kitchen and that the large dinner plates that don't fit in the dishwasher. Otherwise this is an excellent accommodation and I highly recommend it. Close by Manganoui is a sweet place to visit. The fish and chips are excellent but be warned....pricey.

Very quiet will beautiful views of the ocean. Very clean with all required amenities. Convenient as a jumping off point to head to Cape Reinga. Tour buses pick up just down the street was very convenient and allowed for a relaxing day as opposed to self drive. Only thing I would mention is that the studio was at the lower level (units built on a hillside so you still had a walk out to a patio and lawn to enjoy the outdoors and enjoy the view) however you had to go down a long set of stairs to access. Might not be appropriate for an older guest or one that is not quite as fit as they might be.

The driftwood hotel was fabulous, recently renovated in a retro bach style with all the mod cons. Location is amazing, easy check in process given we booked online once we got there. Nice takeaway a short walk away. You won't beat this place for location and ease. A really good surprise!

This is my favourite bay in the far north, with easy clean swimming, and easy access to the other beaches in the area. The views are superb, and it is a short trip to local restaurants at Mangonui and Taipa.

Cable Bay is peaceful and serene.
Cable Bay is peaceful and serene. You can dive and fish on the rocks. It's perfect if you're not into crowds that shops bring.
Cable Bay sits between Coopers Beach and Taipa Bay. Both these places have shops for your needs and 5mins either side. Mangonui is about 10mins which has the restaurants and other stores.
Taipa and Mangonui have your boat ramps.

Cable bay beaches are lovely, not overcrowded, nice little rock pools for the kids and a playground. Cable bay dairy has the best icecreams. Nice cafes or restaurants over in Mangonui or Taipa. So central to other nice locations like Mangonui, Coopers Beach, Karikari peninsula.
The host was so friendly, welcoming and informative. The villa was immaculate and clean with great amenities. The bed was very comfortable and the wifi worked perfectly. The views from the room were exceptional and we loved looking at the sunrise when waking up. We had the perfect stay and it was a great location to explore the far North from.
We chose this as it was pet-friendly and close to the beach. It surpassed pur expectations. Couldn’t fault the outlook from the room, it was exceptional. Clean, comfortable room with everything you need and the property had a great, communal feel to it. Cable Bay Store is a selling point, it is so good!
Amazing ocean views, clean bright elegant modern interior design, beautiful and exactly the same as pictures online.So nice to meet Mark and Jane, their prompt response and warm regards make us super welcomed.We enjoyed our stay and wished to stay longer. Definitely come back next time.
The villas are perched on a hill overlooking Cable Bay...the view was magnificent. We had a one bedroom Villa with 2 balconies and the large upstairs bedroom afforded beautiful views while lying in bed. Couldn't fault it.

Absolutely beautiful apartment, spectacular views over Cable Bay. Spacious modern and exceptionally clean, thoughtfully organised kitchen, spacious laundry and full ensuites.
The entire hotel complex was well-maintained and clean, providing a splendid view of the sea from both the room and the surroundings. We even got the chance to rent a BBQ.
