This is a lovely, tranquil and remote location you can easily fall in love with. The clear water and the sea are directly in front of the terasse and in the back you can sea the snow covered mountains. I think this is worth a note, because you can not really see this from the photos provided online. The host is very kind and helped us with a some tips for grocery shopping during easter holidays and aurora viewing spots.

The night in the small wagon was very nice and the "fireplace" has a certain charm. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The small farm with several animals and the possibility to go to the jacuzzi and or sauna is great. You can book rental equipment for a snowshoe hike directly on site. Parking is free of charge.
Note that there is no supermarket or restaurant nearby. So you are tied to the accommodation's catering on site. This is very good, but the costs add up!

it's a great place to visit. the views are stunning in Sommoroy but also , travelling south of the island. it's a great place in winter to spot the Northern lights. we saw them almost every night even after a stormy day. we would love to come back in Summer time!

Everything was wonderful!
Everything was wonderful! The driver who met us at the airport was kind and helpful. He showed us things along the way and told us about the area, what we could do. The cabin was clean and well kept. The view was spectacular. The food was delicious, a little pricey, but delicious. We had a wonderful time. It wasn't their fault that the weather didn't cooperate. The family walked to town. It was close enough to walk to and far enough away that we didn't get light pollution.

A local company "69Nord Sommaroy Outdoor Center" provided an amazing Midnight Artic Sail with Hobie Kayaks -- the sunset was spectacular! The ferry service from Brensholmen to Botnhamn (Senja Island) was perfect, and it added much value and special memories to my stay in Sommaroy!

The remote island of Sommarøy at the north Norwegian Sea is surrounded by beautiful beaches and the environment is super relaxing. You could take walks around the island, or long bicycle rides and nobody is bothering you.
Sommeroy is a beautiful place, even in the winter! The drive onto the island was lovely even though it was snow/raining. The room was comfortable with a balcony and a good view across the small bay. Free hot drinks in the reception area was a bonus. It was very icy in the morning and the hotel had done a fantastic job of clearing/gritting the roads and walkways. The hotel also had an electric car charging point which we were able to use whilst we were there which was a bonus.
The hotel is wonderful. Rooms are very cozy, you can adjust your own temperature. Bathroom was specious. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast selection was spectacular, so many varieties from warm foods to tasty croissants and even selection of plant based milks. The location is perfect, away from the city, but within reach or some hiking options and of course the northern lights are clearly visible there.
The location is very good, the view was great and the room was comfortable. The hotel restaurant is nice and not too expensive. The breakfast was very good as well. Don't hesitate to make the drive from Tromso if you can, the scenery during the trip is clearly worth it. We also saw reindeers besides the road and Northern Lights from a beach nearby the hotel. Very accessible to wheelchairs
Great selection of breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice available. Hotel room is in good size and very comfy. Dinner at the restaurant was also wonderful- dinner is absolutely delicious and very big serving. The hotel also reverts to my queries before arrival very quickly which is helpful. Great stay and experience. Will be back if I visit Sommaroy again!
Room had a large balcony, I should have sprung for a better view. Breakfast was great! I was surprised the hotel had a lagoon, a sauna, shower, towels and a changing room with lockers. Directly south of the hotel, 3 min walk, is the most gorgeous beach in the world! It called me to jump into the freezing ocean, then I quickly went back to the sauna.
Everything was very nice and good. The staff was very helpful, the location is amazing and the room was very clean. The breakfast were absolutely delicious. This Hotel is highly recommened for those who wants to visit the beauty of Sommaroy :)
Great breakfast at the hotel and, nice restaurant. The beach houses have nice views. Great place, away from everything, to relax and hike for two days. Nice white sandy beach. We also enjoyed the sauna in the beach house.

Great scenery and lovely beach. We enjoyed the polar winter at this quite and amazing location. Loved the beach of the hotel and were lucky to see the Northern Lights! Views from our cabin were great.

A well-equipped hotel in a beautiful location. The outside jacuzzi was great so was the sauna with the option of jumping in the lake.
The kitchen is also unforgettable.
The breakfast is really excellent. The hotel meets high standards as expected. It is a bit remote of course but not too bad. It's an hour 15 minutes from Tromso.
