Andenes you go there to see the whales as the weather was not good our whale trip got canceled, then two nights is too much. We went to visit the space center which is nice for adults not so much for children. Next year this will change however as they are building an experience center. You can also see the Puffins that is also nice.

Beautiful corner of the world, with excellent hiking and beaches just outside of Andenes. If you like wildlife, the safari to the puffin island to watch the nesting puffins and eagles soaring above to catch and eat the puffins is right out of National Geographic.

Best place to be in the north part of Europ to see whales in...
Best place to be in the north part of Europ to see whales in summer. We had some great trips with Sea Safari Andenes. Great trips on RIB boats.
Also lots of other things to do around Andenes. A visit to the Space Center. Nice walks, lookout points and places to visit. Also great bird trips with Puffins and Sea Eagles.
The humility of the people in andenes truly took our heart away! The host himself offered to pick us up from the bus stop to the apartment and then to the airport during the check out. The apartment had everything we needed and is located stone throw away from all shops, cafe n beach
The check in was smooth n apartment was clean n tidy. All necessary linen n duvet were available clean. Cleaning gear for kitchen and apartment was available. All in all comfortable n hassle free stay
The hotel is perfectly located in Andenes with free parking spaces around it. The room we had was comfortable and warm with a side view spanning to the sea. Bed was very good for sleeping and resting. Room appeared well isolated so no sound. Moreover the bathroom was big and with windows.
Staff was available when required and supportive in case.
Hotel is very close to the whale watching center, the main attraction of the city.

I’m sure that the hotel is great; however, we couldn’t get there due to the problems with the ferries onto and off the adjacent island of Senja, where we were travelling from. Delays of 8 hours or worse can be expected during the summer peak. If you are booking accommodation in Andenes and planning to travel there from Gryllefjord suggest that you go for a flexible booking if possible.
On the last night of our stay, the skies cleared up and we were greeted with spectacular wide open views of the northern lights that were easily seen from the balcony of our apt 202b. Staying in Andenes turned out to be a great "plan b" option to see the aurora after our northern lights tour in Tromso was unsuccessful.
A really nice and homely apartment in an excellent location in central Andenes, with very friendly and helpful proprietors. Well equipped kitchen plus a washing machine and tumble dryer. And our dog was more than welcome too.
A very old house with squeeking wood floors. This house tells you a story. Great place to stay in Andenes. Quiet in the night no noise to be heard even the window frames must be 100 years old :D

It was beautiful. We have been travelling in Norway for a couple of weeks now and this was our favorite place. So well equipped and well set up. We were very pleased about the washing machine especially.
The location to the amenities in Andenes was fantastic. Very central in all directions, with a bus stop 1 minute away. Very specious. Had all basic kitchen appliances.
I love the location and the view of the ocean from the front window. Within walking distance to store and restaurants. This is my favorite place to stay in Andenes.
