If you want to walk in the park it's the perfect location. You are really at the gate of Rondane. We asked and got a change to a room with a balcony. The view at the lake and mountains (with still some snow on it) was fabulous. It's a very calm place. We loved it!

We had plans of visiting the Rondane mountails, Jotunheimen, Vinstra, Otta & Lom. This place was somewhat in the middle of it all, but also peaceful, which is great for charging up the batteries.
The view is great. Good to walk around. We got there in the sunset time, it was stunning. The decoration of the hotel has historical pictures and furniture, very stylish. Dinner and breakfast are good. It's a little bit of drive from the main road. If you have a car, no problem.
Rondane National Park is astoundingly beautiful and Høvringen Høgfjellshotell is situated right where all the tracks start. The area offers wonderful hikes and spectacular mountain scenery. The hotel service is excellent and offers good value for money. Highly recommended.
Loved that this traditional Norwegian mountain hotel is not trying to keep up with the times. Decor is timeless. Very comfortable. Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Location is exceptional - high in the mountains in Rondane National Park. Highly recommend.
Very good breakfast buffet, the staff war really nice and friendly and had good suggestions for hikes in the surrounding. The room was very clean and the hotel has a really nice garden.
Nice hotell on fjell. The owners are very nice and you really feel welcome. Would definetely go again if in area. The view from the room was magnificent.
