The breakfast was wonderful and even I, a vegan, had options. The layout of the restaurant was perfect too so that we didn't feel so cramped together like in many places.

It is in a really beautiful place, and the cabins were very cosy and comfortable, we didn't miss anything. The treatment was excellent!
The hotel lives out of the “good days” 20 years ago.
The hotel lives out of the “good days” 20 years ago. Ventilator was making noise at 10.00 pm, switched off only after a request. It was not possible to open window more than 2 centimeters. Very spacious dining rooms and restaurant , but small rooms (at least the ones not facing the road.

Hotel with long history (around 150 years of it) and a character. Nice and quiet. Personnel was welcoming and helpful. The views from the rooms are just amazing. You find yourself in the middle of the mountains far from civilization. You have plenty of opportunities for hiking and cycling or just relaxing on your couch, looking at the mountains. No TV in the room and who would need one anyway with the view through the window.
It's not a fancy modern hotel and that is what is good about it. If you want luxury, that's not the place for you. If you want genuine place with history, quietness and amazing nature, then you will love this hotel. It's not cheap, but that's normal for Norway and close to Geiranger fjord.
Be advised that buffet dinner is not included in the price of the room (only breakfast) and it is not cheap either.
