Forde itself does not have much of culture on offer, there is a local open air museum and a modern art museum which are worth a visit though but Forde is a town with a large retail park. We found good eating places hard to find and travelled outside of Forde for dinner most evenings. The art museum has a good cafe/restaurant for lunches.
It's a tiny cozy place done up very nicely to give that home feeling. Old style radio, dolls,fireplace, phone all add to the charm. Comfortable bed.

There are many appliances like a microwave,egg boiler, sandwich toaster,electric kettle.
Disposable plates glasses and cutlery is available. And the only sink is in the bathroom.Also no counter space. So meals will have to be planned keeping these limitations in mind.
I was already at the Scandic and is a good hotel for the night, for a short term. The room was OK, the swimming pool was not bad, the gymnasium was small.
This has buffet for dinner and had many choices and not too expensive.
The breakfast was good and with many things and the possibility to take it with you for a small amount, for launch for example.
So, for one night I recommend
Clean room with 2 separate beds and a small couch. Rooms are normally used by students from the boarding school. During summer holidays, the school is temporarily in use as hotel. Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast buffet. Several washing machines available (and large drying room) at no extra costs. Common room available with small kitchen, microwave oven and refrigerator.
It is home away from home. Very cozy comfortable and clean, modern design and state of art appliances, has everything that one needs from and more. Excellent location, has a large supermarket store which is a plus for your shooping needs. Easy check in. Excelent communication. Free parking in a garage with direct access to the apartment.
Location is super convenient right by the main road in Førde - so after full day exploring the fjords, you just crash in the bed. In the morning, delicious breakfast with lots of choices is served - different yoghurts, ham, cheese, cereals, smoked salmon, eggs… Perfect! Everything is clean and also the host is very very nice and kind!
We were upgraded to a suite which was extremely spacious and comfortable. The receptionists were extremely helpful and friendly. This is a modern efficient hotel located in an accessible junction for travelers of the fjords and glaciers. Breakfast is generous.
The hotel is conveniently located in Forde for an overnight stay to rest between road trips. The exterior of the building looks great. The best breakfast we ever had in Norway. Free parking. Very friendly staff.
The location is very good and has parking place, it’s very convenient! The housemaster is very nice and kind, she has helped us once we put forward the question. Very good memory for living in this hotel!
we didn’t spend so much time at Førde Gjestehus, however, it was a pleasant stay. The camping is located next a big supermarket which is open until 23.
