The view was of fields and a shallow lake. The beach was 500 m away over the dunes. I wish we could have stayed longer. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. Typically Dutch.

    The Corfwater hotel was great.

The Corfwater hotel was great. The beauty of the beach and sea was a fantastic eye catcher view. Although it was very windy at times, we've still had a great time. All the displays about plastic found in the ocean was very interesting and an eye opener. Great place to visit.

Petten is a little authentic duch village at the shore of the north see. Petten has a little downtown, and great beaches. The watersnipe camping is so good, i spend there 1 week. Petten have another camping closer the beach, but that camping is just a field, so you can see all of your camping mate. Lots fo tulip fields around Petten, and the chese center of Alkmar is just 15 mn drive. Bicycle roads all around. The most beautiful is between Petten and the beach. Petten is a highly recomended village!!!
