Everything! The location is awesome, and it was easier for us to access the main routes in and out of the city and around the city itself. This was the second property we stayed at during our visit to the city. Next time, it's our first and only choice.

    I enjoyed taking a walk on the promenade where there are a number of activities one can engage in at the beach i.e. canoeing, swimming, beach volleyball etc. I spent one afternoon there and visited the Museum, had ice-cream, took a walk on the promenade, waited to watch the sunset and then grabbed some pizza at Lighthouse Restaurant. There are some good restaurants on the promenade and the other one colleagues and I tried was Brewer and Butcher. A lot of the places in Swakopmund are quite close and navigation was easy. Due to proximity to the Atlantic and the Namib Desert, the weather changes at any time and therefore one should always have a sweater ready :)

    Blue Grass Restaurant is a great venue for sundowners.

    Blue Grass Restaurant is a great venue for sundowners. Great view. Andy's Restaurant has the best sushi in town. The Tug Restaurant is in a great location but dishes are overpriced and the place is rally busy with tourists.

    Lovely place and we enjoyed our stay. Nice waterfront area with loads of restaurants, pubs, eateries, etc but far to many hawkers and they can be bothersome. Loads of interesting architecture and quaint shops, and lots to see. Especially loved the walkway / running path on the beachfront. Some areas could do with a bit of maintenance and upkeep but in the whole a great place to visit.

    Swakopmund is a gem: charming, peaceful, and full of character with plenty of good food, coastal walks, and nearby adventure activities. I would definitely recommend both the accommodation and Swakopmund for anyone looking to unwind and explore Namibia’s coast!

    The best place in Namibia with its distinctive old German architecture! With its beautiful buildings, interesting streets and walkways, restaurants, museums, cafes, beach, cyclists and runner and walkers walkway along side the beach and shopping centers, which are mainly centrally located, make it a walkers paradise.

    A visit to the Kristall Galerie is always a must for me,...

    A visit to the Kristall Galerie is always a must for me, walking along Strand Street along the ocean is refreshing. For the first time I visited the museum, as well as the craft market. It was also very good. The food at the Tug Restaurant while enjoying the view of the Atlantic ocean and the friendly staff top it. The friendly car attendants at the Tug restaurant are also a big plus.

    Bay View Resort Hotel is located between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund on a beach overlooking Atlantic Ocean. The views from the room were amazing, especially on a breathtaking sunset. The room itself was spacious and equipped with anything one could ask, the bathroom and the bedroom promising a luxurious stay. A great experience overall, stuff was helpful and friendly and the restaurants food was really, really good. A 5 star accommodation on the best value for money stay we had in Namibia.

    Great host and perfect property on the beach. It is really amazing how the house is equiped, inside and outside barbecue, all imaginable utensils in the kitchen, more than enough fresh and clean towels… Usually I stay only on hotels, since private hosts anc check in proces can be complicate, but here it was great.

    Well-appointed spacious rooms, close to the beach. The beds were super comfortable- the entire family slept so well! The bathrooms are decently sized, the water temperature is perfect, and the pressure from the shower is just on point. Friendly host, I definitely have found my go-to place in Swakopmund

    The location is amazing. It is the place to be if you're going to Swakopmund, with the beach literally on your front door. Hotel and rooms décor was very nice. Nice staff. Very good breakfast. The fact you have 3 of the best restaurants in town in the hotel is very convenient.
