Place was OK for the price we paid. At least it was clean n staff was helpful. It can be a very nice place for family members to have a get together as they do have a small sitting area. Unfortunately aircon not working so it was a bit hot n stuffy.

People are throwing rubbish everywhere, even from cars. No enforcement, no proper management by the council is the main cause.

I was surprise there many Buddhist temples in KOTA Bahru and most of them have the largest or tallest statues, worth to visit

We didn't find much to do in Kota Bahru. We were there on a public holiday so not sure if that affected how many places were open. The area we stayed was pretty dead. We visited the street art which was very beautiful. We had a look at the river which was close to where we stayed. It was brown and murky and quite disgusting. We used this as a stop over before heading to the Perhentian Islands but wished we had kept going. We ate at the Barat Bistro. We were the only customer at the time but the food was excellent.

I really enjoy my staycation in Kota Bharu. Their people are nice and polite. Their society are simple, and I enjoyed their local food especially Laksam, Nasi Dagang, Nasi Ulam Cikgu, Coal grilled sea food which really fresh, sup belut and many more. I also enjoy their worth buying local fruits especially durian, rambutan etc…
Never leave Kota Bharu without having their Raja Kunyit Durian, sup belut and nasi ulam cikgu…

I travelled near end of august.
I travelled near end of august. Turn out it rained almost every night. Hence night outdoor activity is less convenient. Pantai cahaya bulan has several good food stall there. U can enjoy your meal beside the beach with sea view. Those who like Batik can find alot of batik stores at trade centre which is located just opposite of Pasar khatijah. Food stall in between trade centre and pasar khatijah taste good also.

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and quiet, you can have nice sleep and rest. It's near for everything restaurants, shops and Khadijah Market. You can enjoy walking around.
The Homestay is led by Fauzi and his wife who are so sympathic and friendly.
With regards to the room, you get what you pay for, so don't expect any 5star hotel room.
It is very near the airport and the transfer by Fauzi is fast and the costs are very reasonable.
On top, we were shown their Durian trees and could even taste the fruits. The fishing was not so successful but funny. Hope the new strategy catching them with Thai food will work 😄

Everything was great! Out of expectation for a budget hotel. Room are clean, big and I really like the arranging. Parking is easy. Staff are friendly and nice. Facilities provided is enough. Ironing facilities also easy to get. Its really exceed my expectation. Good Job Tanjong inn! Gonna repeat this hotel again in future :)
The room is spacious for 2pax. The breakfast was superb. Variety of food from local traditional food to western. The staff on that day were very kind and polite. Nearby to various attractions in Kota Bharu, next to Mydin Mall. Ample space to park my car. Everything is 👍🏻 good.
Served mostly local foods such as Nasi Lemak, Nasi Kerabu and Nasi Dagang. Breakfast was quite variety, but this was what I expected from a 4 stars hotel.

This is our 2nd time staying at Dar Es Salam (DES). We have many options to stay at Kota Bharu but we still considered DES. The unit is very clean, comfortable and basic things provided. We will definitely come again and stay here.
The location is good, in the middle of city of Kota Bharu. Easy to take-a-bite even though in the middle of midnight.
