We came here for 3 nights and ended up extending it to 7 nights. The location couldn't have been better. Their restaurant is superb! Housekeeping upto the mark, infact quite impressive! The staff is very friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure you got all what you need.
I'm an architect and I could tell the villas and rooms and the whole site planning is done in a very sustainable, and climate friendly way. Even in such a hot weather, we didn't feel the need for an air conditioner. It was always cool and breezy. The bathroom is so well designed and I really appreciate the architecture. All the rooms are sea facing so that's brilliant.
The staff is very cool and easy. Thank you!

The green views are nice. The breakfast is good and located in a nice area. The products of the hotel are fine.
We asked for a special mosquito net on the bed - and it's great that they have this available, it saved our lives because they are everywhere and the Dengue epidemic is strong. However the way it was put, it makes it a little suffocating. This is something that should be by default available for every bed and well designed, given the room price and the vegetation that's in front of the Hotel. It's inevitable that you'll have mosquitoes everywhere.

Amazing property and aesthetic! Such a cool concept and design. The grounds were immaculate, the beds were super comfortable. The outdoor shower with HOT water was perfect. The pools were so nice to cool off in. Short walking distance to the beach and town. Very quiet minus some road traffic noise. The pizza restaurant on site is SO good!

The view from my room was gorgeous. The pool was clean and sooo nice to swim in. The staff were amazing. The coffee was THE BEST because they have this nice machine that makes excellent coffee!! I had them surprise me each morning with whatever eggs they wanted to make - all were very good. a little pricey but quiet and a great location. Not a far walk to Muzante for a different beach and shopping and additional food options.

San Agustinillo is a sleepy village where the primary activities are lounging, swimming, surfing, and eating. It seems European/North American expats make up a large proportion of permanent residents, making it difficult to discern who the tourists are, so expect to see high numbers of caucasians. Nearby Mazunte (15 min walk) is slightly larger but is much the same with more dining/shopping options open later into the evening, attracting a younger crowd.

Lovely beach, but waves too big for young children.
Lovely beach, but waves too big for young children. Quiet little town, much mellower then Mazunte. Lots of traffic on the main road. Remember to bring cash - the ATM overcharged us (and many others), and most places only accept cash. I'd definitelty recommend getting out on a boat to see dolphins, turtles, and maybe a whale!

It’s a small pretty town with fun activities and places to visit. It’s a good place to relax and forget about everything else. I’ll recommend visiting the neighbor towns (Puerto Angel, Zipolite, Mazunte, and Ventanilla). Zipolite is a nude beach that has nice hotels, beach-clubs, and restaurants. Ventanilla is fun to see the Crocodiles, horse back ride, and turtles. Mazunte has the turtle museum which is not very good. It’s nice to walk around. Visit Punta cometa.

The beach is very nice.
The beach is very nice. There are some nice restaurants or bars on the street but not so many options and not so living place like mazunte. However, you can easily walk to mazunte and rinconcito street.

This accommodation was 10/10.
This accommodation was 10/10. We rented a scooter for 500mx/day which was easy to travel between the town of Mazunte/Zipolite and San Agustinillo with no issues (day or night). I would highly recommend this stay if you are looking for a little more remote and relaxation. It is a little out of the main town so a scooter was convenient. Otherwise, the hotel will help you getting a cab whenever you need.

San Agustinillo is a peaceful destination on the Mexican Pacific coast of Oaxaca.
The town is clean, safe and friendly. There are plenty of opportunities to practice self care.
This is not a party town. If you look for relaxation and beauty, this is the place to go to!

It’s hard to pinpoint a single highlight because simply everything stood out! It was incredibly cozy, friendly, and fun, and all the amenities rocked! Manu (the host) greeted us by saying “welcome to paradise” and truer words have never been spoken. Added bonuses? The restaurant in the hotel was amazing (fresh mango juice every day) and each room had two designated beach lounge chairs. This is one of my favorite vacation spots ever!
Everything about Ecocabanas Bambu is just perfect. For us it really is the perfect stay in San Agustinillo: It feels perfectly integrated into nature. At the same time you are directly by the beautiful beach and the set-up with bedchairs and hammocks is super cozy. We loved it and Memo, the owner, is a real sweetheart! He went out of his way to make our stay perfect, even arranging our boat trip to see the dolphins!
The hotel is wonderful. Beach is just right in front of the hotel... Room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. Well located in San Agustinillo. Quiet and peaceful. Above all, all the staff was very nice and helpful. Thanks Pablo for your constant kindness. And Andrea and all the staff in the kitchen: muchas gracias por todos, to have help us in catching the colectivo bus. ;-)
We had a fabulous time at Punta Placer. The rooms are ON the beach, clean and comfortable.
The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to help you. Would you like coconuts? No problem, they found them for us. Would you like a taxi? No problem, called and immediate service. Food is great too. You can eat in the dining area, in your room or on the beach. They will bring it!
Location fantastic in a wonderful beach. Food offering very poor and inconsistent (on various days: no coffee available; no fresh fruit; unable to make an omelette although on menu etc). This is a relatively new hotel Posada but they don’t seem to understand basic service needs. Room was fine and clean. Staff trying but management lacks experience.
Cozy, but roomy cabanas literally on the beach. Fan was adequate to cool room with very comfortable king sized bed. Plenty of hammocks in the shade under a palapa roof with food and drink. Staff were very pleasant.. Great Cafe for breakfast next door and beautiful, swimmable cove at the end of the beach towards Mazunte. Quiet at night.
I feel lucky to have landed here of all places. The location is perfect- the most scenic and tranquil beach in the area. The cabanasare literally on the beach. Live music every night. Good WiFi. Good drinks and food and a super friendly and helpful staff I highly recommend casa corazon.
The restaurant had great food. The staff was very friendly and helpful at the restaurant and the hotel. The rooms were very clean. You cannot beat the location of this property. The beach was not crowded either. I will be staying here the next time I travel to San Agustinillo!
The hotel rooms are beautiful and the view breathtaking. It’s very close to the beach (2-3 min walk). The AC works great and beds are comfortable. I was 26 weeks pregnant and the hotel kindly offered a free room upgrade so I would have to walk less stairs.
The staff was amazing, they're very friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were delicious. All facilities were very comfortable and nice. It was great having the beach in front of the hotel. It was very relaxing. I would definitely stay here again!
Gorgeous boho style hotel up above San Agustinillo beach. Modern but soulful and an incredible view. The restaurants nearby are great and the breakfast at the hotel was lovely. Staff couldn’t do enough to help. We’d come back tomorrow if we could :)
The hotel is really beautiful and quite privat with its 7 rooms. The design and view are stunning.
It is not so easy to reach as it is uphill. But there is a little way that brings you down to the village which is easy when you are in shape.
The location is awesome, staff very friendly, very nice and cozy hotel architecture and laid back area. Furthermore, a delicious breakfast is offered (not included). The beach is a highlight, especially for everybody who likes big waves.
The place is quiet, perfect for a weekend of relaxation. The view and the swimming pool are nice. sometimes the waves in San Agustinillo are too big so having a swimming pool in the hotel is a great option.
We were pleasantly surprised with the perfection of this place. There was not a single thing we would change. Hotel is amazing, staff is great, views are gorgeous, everything is clean. AMAZING!
The location is really good! 2 minutes from a great beach, just between Mazunte and San Agustinillo. The room was beautiful and the view is breathtaking!
The staff was very kind and helpful.
Epic little cabanas, big bathrooms and huge comfy beds with a lovely little terrace out front! The hotel restaurant closes at 6 which is perfect, so its nice and quiet before bed too!
