The apartment was spacious, with a large balcony to relax on and a clean, sparkling shared swimming pool. Each room had its own ensuite. The sea view and sunsets were stunning from the balcony. There weren't many people staying at the apartments and there was plenty of parking available. The host was friendly and attentive.

A really lovely area, very safe with lots of tourists around. It's expensive and the cars are loud, most play loud music as they drive around.
The beach is wonderful and what you expect from a white sand beach in Mauritius. The sea is very clean, safe and warm.
Plenty of places to eat and drink without feeling too busy.

Flic and Flac has a great beach and lots of good restaurants. It is very lively, particularly on a Saturday and Sunday. The restaurants that we enjoyed were Chutneys, Sunset Garden, Mosaic and a Thai restaurant that was a little further out in Tamarin called Ousaporn. Lovely garden settings in both Sunset Gardens and Ousaporn.
I recommend hiring a car. The Black River Gorge is stunning. The views of the gorge, waterfalls and to the bays are outstanding.

Being on the west coast of the island means that it isn't as...
Being on the west coast of the island means that it isn't as windy as the east coast or as wet i.e. rainy. The beach is sheltered by a coral reef; as are many of the beaches on Mauritius but there are also resident pods of bottlenose and spinner dolphins off of the west coast of the island.
The boat trips to swim with dolphins and also visit the island on the SW coast of Mauritius go from Flic-en-Flac beach so cost a lot less than from other parts of the island - worth visiting more than one tour operator to get the best price.
Flic-en-Flac is not too far from the airport and being about half way up it is easy to get to most parts of the island in a day to see things.
Lots of restaurants to choose from too.
It is an amazing place with two stories and four bedrooms. The swimming pool is huge. There is a guard and a cleaner of the swimming pool. The beach is very close and the supermarket is big and also close ( you can walk 10-15. min. but we always took a car). The owner is super friendly. He made sure we got evrything we asked for extra. He was also sending us material on what to see in Mauritius even after we already moved to another location. Compliments.
We stayed at Our Island Home for 5 nights on arrival in Mauritius. We found the apartment to be very comfortable. Rodney was welcoming and helpful. Kids loved the small terrace onto the grass and the pool and we had it to ourselves most of the time. We had no issues with noise. The flat really is only 5 mins to the beach even with kids in tow. Great value for money. Felt like we were borrowing a friend's holiday house, a great base for exploring.
Johanna was the owner of the apartment and she was very kind and she has such a good soul.she was Always there when we needed and wanted that we have our best vacation.it was very Clean, for ist the Most important thing when travelling with a child.it was very mordern and the beachbag was the perfect extra.thank you so much for a good time in the Island.
Ah and she was born here,so she knows everything about Mauritius.
Everything is just perfect, compact hotel, way overstaffed and they are all super pleasant and friendly en helpful, clean, close to the beach en restaurants, swimmingpool downstairs, rooftop jacuzzi, free morning yoga class on the rooftop, good breakfast (we got to make our own waffles), got good advice on things to do and see en for going out. Very decent rooms all with porch or balcony, everything just perfect!
My mother stayed here 2 years ago and she recommended for me , patrick hotel manager is so kind, he let me use shower after my check-out because I went to beach and my flight was in the evenning, breakfast is good, fruits, croissants, jam, juice, fresh omelette etc. area is nice close to beach, shops, restaurants. Room was quite big and most importantly very clean, I would stay here again and again.
Anil was such a great host, he was always available to help us and arrange things for us and he shared a lot about life in Mauritius. The villa is well equipped and in a quiet location with easy acces to beach, perfect for a family of 4-5. Just keep in mind it is located a bit outside of Flic en Flac center of activities (except for the beach, you need a car or taxi to go anywhere).
-Excellent location , directly facing the Flic en Flac beach , one of the best in Mauritius
-Flexible , professional and helpful staff especially resort manager Hugo and Mats who was supporting him
-Very spacious 2 bedrooms apartment with 2 en suite bathrooms
-Fully equipped kitchen
-Amazing view facing the beach/ocean
-On site parking and 24hrs security
Brand new place, and very clean. It has everthing we needed. Tv has netflix and other apps. Owner is very kind person. We stayed in another apartment before here on our Mauritius trip that we regret. Because you need a car if you are staying here. If you have car everywhere is in driving distance from this house (max 1 hour)
Great location at the quieter end of flic-en-flac not far from the 5 star resort beach area.
Flat was clean and had all the basic amenities, nice comfy bed and porcelain floor. Sofa was also comfy and non fabric which we like for cleanliness. Good size rooms and very cheap and in a good location.
I loved everything about the Hilton Hotel. The staff are friendly and polite. The gardens at night are so beautiful with the lighting. The pool area is always clean. We had a Deluxe room, it was awesome. Thank you for making our holiday so special. We are planning to come back in January.
Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
The location is excellent, just across the street from arguably the best beach in Mauritius.
While the food choice was not over the top, the quality of food was excellent, including tuna, prawns, octopus, squids, and crab soup for dinner.
it’s like a small piece of heaven - view to the swimming pool and the ocean, possibility to watch sunsets every day, beautiful trees on the territory, access to the beach. I liked especially that you have to walk a bit to the beach where you can swim - less people around the hotel
Great facilities, Genuine staff ready to serve you any time. Free laundry and even Free cab service for beach...!!! The hotel driver Sanjiv ji and the Manager Baiju ji both were so courtsious ...I recommend it to all and every. Regards, Ashish Thakar from Ahmedabad
The food is good, people friendly. The room was big, not much of a view but ok. The place is 40 minutes from Mon Choisy Public Beach and Trou aux Biches. We ended up going to the public beaches, the experience there was great!
everything was so perfect.
thanks to the staff who made my stay wonderful. and the place is beautiful.
i had a room with sea view, amazing!!!
i have been to 5 different hotels in Mauritius and this one is my favorite so far.
Amazing location, best value for money maybe in whole Mauritius. Very large apartment with oceanfront and huge terrace. The host and his staff were very helpful.
