Blue bay is perfect for a typically Mauritian beach holiday. There are no large shops or fancy restaurants. There is a shopping centre a short ride away, but in general this is a quiet area, which is exactly what we wanted. It was our fifteenth, yes 15th visit to Le Peninsula Bay hotel, and it is perfect for our needs. The hotel is not a 4 or 5 star, but a very good 3 star. Most rooms have sea views. Try the Ocean View rooms. Really worth it.

Excellent beach.
Excellent beach. Lots of outdoor options -- boat trips, SCUBA, snorkelling, wildlife tours. The Bougainville Restaurant was superb.
The nearby BoVallon Shopping Centre was new, and a great place to shop.

Near the Air Port. Excellent shopping Mall. Great local markets. Many good (local) restaurants. Great diving spot.
Driving in Mauritius is a challenge. Although they drive on the left (Like in South Africa) the roads are mostly very narrow. Motorists stop on these narrow streets to pop into a shop. You have to find a way around them. The M2 highway is a very good road, but full of roundabouts. Every 3,4 Km there is a roundabout.

The village is quit silent and there are not so many people.
What is little bit disadvantage, there is just one small shop and only about three restaurants. If you are looking for night life is better to go to the flic flac resort. But we were very happy about staying in Blue Bay.

What an amazing place to stay and the locals where very friendly and always willing to assist when needed. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys snorkeling. Just remember when you go to take your snorkels and shoes to go into the sea. This was a beautiful and amazing holiday with so much beauty.
The staff was friendly, the location is close to the beach as well as close to airport and has a service to keep luggage and still use the facilities after check out. Perfect for the last day or days before leaving Mauritius. The beach is only 1min by walking and its one of the nicest beaches of the island (but especially on the weekends it gets crowed.The kitchen had just a little bit of equipment and the water was not warm at any time. The breakfast was suffiecient but dont expect someting special.
Exceptional location, located on the beach of Blue Bay. Stayed in a seafront unit with great views. Unit had kitchenette with full size refrigerator. Was able to park onsite. Breakfast included. Staff were friendly and always willing to help. Due to late flight and checkout, we were offered a transit room for free, which helped us a lot. Restaurants in walking distance, across road. Shopping Centre 3-4km with everything. Great snorkelling in front of Blue Beryl with beautiful corals. Great place.
Excellent apartment, new, beautifully clean, all you need for your visit to Blue Bay. Situated on a quiet road, you can watch the flying foxes move in and out of their favorite tree from your balcony. Only 450m from the public each and 10 min drive from the airport. The rest of the island is easily accessible by car. Your host, Christophe Gully, is extremely helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended
Lovely villa with a small but well maintained pool. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. We were met on arrival and the host was very helpful. There are restaurants within a short drive. The property is within walking distance from the beach and very convenient for the airport.

Really helpful and friendly staff in a beautiful location next to the marine park in Blue Bay. Lovely fresh eggs at breakfast, great local beer, fun entertainment everyday. We had a lovely Christmas here with our kids!
