The Manager of the hotel and his staff (including 3 dogs and a cat) are above any praise. If you seek for a well organized place to rest without problems do come to Puetz Travels Beach Resort. Mr. Marcus will make your trip a real holyday. Even wild crocodiles that live in the nearby river dream to move to the magic canals of Puetz Travels Beach Resort. I wish i were among the lucky ones.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It's clean and comfortable to be there. A picturesque place, you can take beautiful photos or relax by the pool. There is a restaurant and a spa. Special thanks to Fernando, he helped with any questions. Very responsive and pleasant person. I advise you to visit this hotel if you are tired of the noise and want to enjoy the silence. And the caring staff will do everything to make your stay at the hotel pleasant.
Quiet place with pure nature, river and ocean around, clean pool, nice bungalows (great idea of small houses with direct path to the beach), good beach area, friendly staff. A cute couple of dogs living in the hotel was an advantage :) Every time you want to go out of the hotel, you need to take a hotel boat to cross the river, which is very interesting and not so common for many hotels, but you need to make sure that a boatman is there!
The grounds are lovely, rooms large and pool very refreshing but far and away the best thing out our stay was the friendly staff. We took a cooking class with Nilantha Gamage and Sobani and they were wonderful; felt like we were cooking with friends in their home. The outdoor kitchen was terrific and the food was genuinely the best we had in Sri Lanka; such an amazing experience!
Visited at the end of a tour around Sri Lanka. We had a really nice cabin with a really comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. Since we both need to eat gluten free, the manager and chef took really good care of us, serving us safe and very tasty food. The area is really quiet at night and the pool is nice as well.
Much nicer than staying in negombo in my opinion.
10/10, would recommend! Spacious and comfortable huts set around a beautiful pool shaded by palm trees. Best-kept installations I have seen in Sri Lanka so far. Markus is an excellent host who goes the extra mile. Very friendly and chilled atmosphere that invites you to stay for weeks on end, as many do. Tasty, varied breakfast and spectacular dinners

We used this hotel as a one night stop off when we arrived before travelling around Sri Lanka. The location is remote, but that didn't bother us as we only stayed at the hotel.
The pool was big and clean, whilst the room was really comfy.

Quit location on roomy grounds. Pleasant room. Nice big pool with comfy beds. Stylish, well kept hotel which shows attention to detail. Great retreat if you want read (or write) a book.
