We enjoyed staying at this small hotel. Although there weren't amenities like a gym or pool, the location was central - you can walk to the waterfront and some nice places to eat. They serve breakfast on the front patio which we enjoyed. The rooms are clean, and we particularly enjoyed the room in the front of the hotel with large windows. We need to mention Nalada at the front desk. She was super accommodating, as we had to wait a few days longer for visas and she helped make it much easier. She was lovely from the moment we walked in the door, she has a true sense of hospitality.

Wasn't expecting much given that the hotel is clearly older and was priced less than some of the fancier newer places in the area. However, there is a lot to like about this place: -Location is perfect, in the business district of Vientiane, within walking distance to what seems like hundreds of tiny cafes, restaurants, shops, etc. One block away is a bustling night food market with many different kinds of foods on offer. -Despite being old the hotel was spotlessly clean. -Breakfast was outstanding. One orders from a set menu (eggs, rice soup, noodle soup) AND there is a buffet style of fruit choices, fresh fruit blended drinks, lipton tea, brewed coffee AND tiny homemade donuts. In our group of 8 we had every choice on the menu and each dish was good. My colleagues said the donuts were really good- hot and not too sweet. - receptionist was a super responsible middle aged woman who was busy cleaning the breakfast area when I checked in mid-afternoon. - furniture throughout the hotel is made from solid very expensive hardwoods. Beautiful old pieces that will last a few lifetimes. - hot water heater in bathroom provided scalding hot water every time we turned on the shower. Easy to lower the temperature to what was comfortable. - lift works great -internet worked great
