Quiet location near the lake. It was very peaceful this time of year. The food was excellent and available any time after 9 am. The bed was comfortable and the room a reasonable size. They arranged a visit to the springs in Cholponata as we didn’t have a car. Staff were friendly and accommodated our lack of Russian language skill.

In our journey around Issyk-Kul, here we had the best beds/mattresses and here we could sleep in a dark room when closing the curtains. We also enjoyed the proximity of the lake. We had dinner at Uigur restaurant at the main road (highly recommended). The owner was extremely helpful with everything we need.

I truly enjoyed the hospitality of Jaka and Timur, they were both very kind and welcoming. Living in a yurt on their property was a truly unique experience and an insight into their day to day life. I loved trying Jaka's home cooking as well as homemade jams, the apricot one was particularly delicious!

I’ve stayed at many places based on positive reviews, but rarely has the reality exceeded expectations—until now. This property is truly a hidden gem and absolutely worth staying at. It’s the best location on Issyk-Kul, run by a dedicated family who pay close attention to every detail from the moment of arrival to departure.
The apartment was spotless, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed. Every aspect of the unit is well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged. The property offers direct access to the beautiful beach of Issyk-Kul, as well as a children’s play area, making it ideal for both relaxation and family enjoyment.
While there is some ongoing construction in the surrounding area, it didn’t pose a significant disturbance for us. One suggestion I’d make is to improve the road leading to the property. Paving it with interlocking bricks would make it more accessible, especially during or after rainfall, as the current condition can be a bit inconvenient for walking or driving.
Overall, it was an exceptional stay, and I would gladly return.

The guest house is located at Selam Beach, walking distance from the lake. Not easy to find without GPS - we are adding more info to the Google map to help others find it. The host provides sun umbrella and a beach blanket. Our children could independently go to the beach from the place or return back. There are several shops and places to eat. There is 24/7 taxi service. There is no solid road from the main road to the guest house - bumpy 5 minutes. The location is perfect for families with little kids.

Very close to the lakeshore, you can really walk down for a swim in a minute or two. We ordered a-la-carte dinner and the boso lagman was really delicious. The young reception boy who also spoke English was very nice.

The cuisine leaves much to be desired every time I had a stomach ache after visiting the cafe. At the same time trout is worth a try we ate it and grilled and fried and smoked and dried, for lovers of fish is the best. In excursions you need to be careful, the price is not said immediately, they are silent and after receiving the service very high price put and compare not with what. For example, 2 trout and riding on five horses for about half an hour cost almost 300$. If you do not take into account these things in principle a very good place for a vacation.
