It was very comfortable, beds 10/10, they were very cosy and kept us warm and also include an electric blanket. Two of the 3 of us were from hot and sunny Qld Australia and our son brought us to Kusatsu Onsen at a time when it was very cold and snowing. It was exceptionally wonderful time to visit when it snowed.
The onsens in the hotel were great as well as the ones in the park and town.

First traditional onsen ryokan experience for me and my Aussie partner. We were absolutely stunned by how elegant and detailed of food was. It was lucky that Tokyo snowed few days ago so we get to see snow covering Kusatsu. We bathed in the onsen admiring how unreal the view was with snow. Brilliant service too but the front desk can barely speak English.
