First thing I have to say is that I loved staying at this place. Akemi’s hospitality is on another level, she made our stay very special since the moment she welcomed us, and I think we will never forget her. Her food is delicious (if you are vegetarian she will make special food) and the table set up is always beautiful, the place is clean, the bed is comfortable and the rooms are very cozy .The surrounding area has plenty of hiking options. If you are only staying for a night I recommend, and early arrival so you get enough time to do a hike or just walk around the area.

This property was surrounded by breathtaking nature and the sounds of the rushing river below. It was so peaceful, the air and water were very refreshing and clean. The traditional Japanese style room and breakfast was a great experience but above all, the hosts were the best. They were super friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We travelled with a baby and they helped us in many ways that I am so grateful for! We also loved their very friendly cats. The only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!

Ken provides exceptional service, offering great recommendations for nearby attractions such as spas and other itineraries to explore. Additionally, if the weather permits, guests can rent bikes from him to tour the area, adding an extra layer of convenience and adventure. One highlight of the stay is the nearby onsen, just a 15-minute walk away. It's a truly beautiful onsen, perfect for unwinding and enjoying a relaxing soak for half a day. Ken also prepares a delicious breakfast, adding to the overall experience and making guests feel truly pampered. Overall, I highly recommend staying at this house. The combination of Ken's hospitality, the stunning surroundings, and the comfortable accommodations make for an unforgettable experience.

Everything! The cats are super cute, the kotatsu comfortable, the design of the common area looks good, and the owner Kazuya-san and Aya-san are super friendly! She even provided my bed with a warm jug of water to pre-heat because it was so cold outside! Will stay again if I visit the area!
