H10 Palazzo Canova, hotel in Venice

H10 Palazzo Canova is located in Venice and features a terrace and a bar. This 4-star hotel offers free WiFi.

The hotel is centrally situated at the waterfront of the main Channel in Venice. It was easy to get to with a water taxi from the train terminal (15minutes away). The rooms were amazing and neat with ample space for two people and their luggage. Breakfast was well prepared and there is also a little "garden area" you can choose to sit in that makes it very cozy. The hotel was situated centrally allowing you to explore most of Venice on foot if you are up to it or a "bus" terminal just across the bridge if you want to make use of the water transportation system. the staff was exceptional throughout our stay and assisted with all information we required.

Hotel A La Commedia, hotel in Venice

Hotel A La Commedia is just 656 feet from Rialto Bridge and the water-bus stop, and a 10-minute stroll from St. Mark's Square. Its terrace offers romantic views of Venice.

We loved the hotel. Our room was quiet with two nice windows. The bed was very comfortable. The decor is somewhat formal yet updated. The bathroom was large with a good-sized tub and great shower. The location is fantastic: close to the Rialto Bridge and vaporetto stop yet tucked on block back from the Grand Canal. We arranged in advance to be met at the airport by a driver who took us to a water taxi. When the water taxi arrived at the Rialto Bridge, a person from the hotel was there to take our bags. We never had to lift our quite heavy suitcases. Everyone at the hotel was helpful.

I don’t recommend going to Venice if you’re a person of colour, especially black. Many locals treat you with disgust and blatantly ignore or refuse to help you. There are none stop dirty looks and frowning, some ignore you, some push you out of the way, loads refuse to help you with simple questions like directions, others refuse to sit next to you. Airport staff purposely make you late for flights. If you do visit learn some basic words so you can understand some things, like when they’re sniggering about you in the Uber. One Uber driver mocked me in the car on the phone. Won’t be going back again.

Venice is exciting, brimming with culture, and like no other cities, the prices are in general reasonable, and people are friendly and helpful. However, in order to have a good stay, you have to take the following into account: The city was crowded already in April. I would not go in the summer, and avoid the weekends for a shorter stay. It can be colder and more windy than you think. Bring some warm wind- and waterproof clothing, Be prepared to walk a lot, otherwise it is difficult to see the things you want to. We typically walked about 7 km a day. Even if there are some signs of directions, Venice is labyrinthine. I used google maps, a high resolution paper map and sometimes a compass, and even got lost a few times. However, it also meant we found a place with wonderful italian ice we returned to several times.

I had a short walk from rail station to the hotel but had a heavy suitcase. Difficult walk due to my heavy suitcase and number of staired bridges and lack if google maps on my cell phone, I Highly recommend this for getting around although even locals I asked had trouble finding good directions, Weather was raining. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL BOUTIQUE HOTEL, AND FOR FIRST TIME TRAVELORS TO VENICE IT WAS THE PERFECT LOCATION. IT IS IN THE HEART IF THE BEST PART OF VENICE, AND ALLOWS EASY ACCESS TO EVERYWHERE ELSE. THE ROOM IS BEAUTIFULLY SET UP, COSY, CLEANED DAILY, AND SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. WE HAD A SMALLER ROOM COMPARED TO OTHERS BUT IT WAS PERFECT FOR THE TWO OF US. THE STAFF ARE FANTASTIC AND HELPUL, AND WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO ENSURE WE WERE COMFORTABLE. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN AND AGAIN IF I RETURN TO VENICE.

Great location close to bars, a little grocery store and a vaporetto stop yet quiet. Wonderful if you keep the windows open at night, you get wafts of the bakery behind the hotel as well. The check in girl (Sara I think) was so nice and helpful with information too. We loved all the little snacks upon arrival and shampoos provided! Our room was enormous! We were in the annex of the hotel because we booked the room only a few days in advance. The breakfast was the best one we had in Italy, The view from the balcony located in the dining room was beyond breathtaking. My husband and I had a glass of wine on the balcony overlooking the Grand Canal. It was so emotionally moving, I began weeping at the majestic beauty of the canal. My husband in reaction, booked us another week in Venice.

The breakfast was the best one we had in italy , it is carried up in baskets together with juice coffee and fresh warm croissants and bread ! Amazing. Totally did not expect that at all. The staff is also extremely kind to us. We were allowed to stow our bag in the hotel so we could explore easier the last day. Which helped so much since venice is full of stairs and carrying bags can be troublesome. The bed was very soft as well.
