I booked a last minute get-away and was lucky to find a room for two nights. The room had a lovely balcony overlooking the lake. Breakfast in the morning was served on the beautiful tree shaded patio next to the lake. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was very good with excellent service, and fair prices. They also had a few vegetarian options which we appreciated. The hotel is somewhat frozen in time, which can be charming in dining and bar lounge areas, but perhaps rooms could benefit from modernization (this is not so much a complaint as a comment). There is a great little market with local food and drink specialties directly across from the hotel. The public bus stop which runs to Lugano is across the street from the hotel. There are some walking trails in the hills behind the hotel and village that go up to some nice view points. And the hotel has its own swimming dock with lounge chairs fronting on the lake.
With a view of Lake Lugano, Caffè del Viaggiatore offers classic-style rooms. Located 6 km outside Valsolda, it has a restaurant, a bar, patio, free parking and free Wi-Fi in all areas.

Beautiful location by the lake - stunning views. Huge apartment with two balconies, food was excellent- we ended up having lunch dinner and breakfast. Best breakfast coffee I’ve had anywhere. Staff are lovely- could not do enough for us. Highly recommended

Amazing location, however not easily accessible. The house is surrounded by meandring stairs and corridors, which I find extremely charming. View from the windows straight on Lugano lake and roofs of surrounding buildings. Down by the main road bar full of locals with all what you need in the morning:)

The location is fantastic, very comfy and clean hotel. The rooms are big and clean, everything works. The staff is amiable and helpful. The breakfast is awesome. The receptionist called me a taxi when needed. The value for money is excellent. Strongly recommended!!!

We loved this place. It is ideally for calm stay. Our room with lake view on the 2 floor was big and spacious. Bathroom with the window and balcony). The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was simple, but included in the price of the room. You don't have to go anywhere in the evening, you can take a diner right here. There is a restaurant downstairs. The lake with pontoon-bridge is just 3 min from the hotel. So you can swim. There is a on -site parking space. Highly recommended!

The location could not be any better. Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast with a fabulous view on the lake, great food, a small hotel, nice area to go hiking, taking a swim in the afternoon, it is just unbelievable beautiful and you notice that is is family owned. Superb location and we cannot wait to get back there again.

An excellent location on the Lake, with easy access to the water for swimming. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the front of the hotel right on the shores of Lake Lugano. Very helpful and friendly staff. A good choice!

The location and view from the hotel rooms and beautiful garden with opportunity to swim in the lake as well as the stereotypical in- and exteriieur one would thunk of a classical hotel in that area.
