Probably worst place I’ve stayed, facilities weren’t great. The pool was lovely but it shut between 1:30pm and 3pm for some reason, which is prime time. Bathroom was so old and smelt funny, and mattresses were uncomfortable. The staff were lovely. But the hotel let it down, the breakfast was also awful and for how much we spent, didn’t warrant the stay. I’m sad to write a bad review, as I never take the time to do this, but felt like I should give future travellers warning to not waste their money unfortunately.

The property is absolutely stunning with several charming courtyards with old trees and flowers, a breathtaking view of the mountain panorama from the room, and beautiful ornamental gardens all around that give of the feeling of being in a wealthy country villa of the 18th century, complete with a rustic tower on a hill above. There was a shaded parking and an olympic size swimming pool, a lovely breakfast terrace with a seaview, and most importantly incredibly kind an helpful staff that made my son's and my stay unforgettable. We arrived late after midnight and were graciously received despite being three hours late, and the wonderful Paola assisted us in reserving sun loungers and parasols at the beautiful Lido Vetrana which are complimentary for guests of the hotel and make for a relaxing beach day and swimming in the clear blue water. We will definitely come back.

One of the proprietors met me and handed over the keys. They also gave a brief tour around the property which was appreciated. The property was exceptionally clean, well maintained and presented.

My stay was relaxing, bed is really comfortable and the rooms are well located a bit outside Trabia noisy center but with enough foods shops and supermarket around. Access to highway is 5mn away. Great communication with the owner.
I highly recommend these rooms for anyone visiting northern part and Palermo.

The main reason for staying here is probably because it is so close to the train station….. a few metres. About 40 minutes to Palermo…. Great for a day trip……
Low season , so Leon allowed us to check in early and gave advice about parking.
Parking in the ( sometimes very busy) street or in the small car park beside the station.
Good minimarket just up the street and to the left .

The location was very good and it was good to be near Palermo
With free WiFi in all areas, B&B Ulivo is located in Trabia, a 15-minute walk from the beach. It offers a terrace and a garden with barbecue facilities.
I visited the area to attend a wedding. It is a typical coastal town in Sicily steeped in history, quirky architecture and friendly people. You will need to hire a car as it is difficult to get around unless only visiting short distances away from your property.
The owners were fantastic and super attentive and quick to respond to any needs. The air conditioning was fantastic in the bedroom and much needed especially as temperatures were 40+ when we arrived. The view from the balcony was stunning - we got both sunset and sunrise and we spent a lot of time chilling on the balcony. It was conveniently located right next to the train station where you could easily get trains to both Cefalu and Palermo. The Sisa supermarket was only a few minutes walk away and had an excellent selection of food stuffs!
Room was clean, with fan and private bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Location was very quiet, in the mountain, only noise you could hear was sheep bells or donkeys. Very big, deep and clean swimming pool. Our young couple host was very kind with great sense of hospitality. You have possibility to take lunch or dinner at the location for a very reasonable price (they also kindly prepared gluten free food for my wife). Even if we were 40 min from Palermo or Cefalu it was not a problem for us. Breakfast was great.
We had an excellent stay at Villa Orchidea Bianca! Trabia is a very good location to explore the region between Palermo and Cefalù (by train or by car). The house is very clean and spatious, is located in a very quiet neighbourhood and offers a spectacular sea view. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our holiday at Villa Orchidea Bianca!

It’s clearly visible that owner Giuseppe has infused with love and passion. fantastic experience I would suggest to anyone in the zones between Palermo and Cefalù. Very good location for access to train for Palermo (30mins) and Bagheria. Very quiet area 5 mins easy walk to amenities in the the small town.

amazing setting in the Sicilian countryside. we did a road-trip around Sicily and went to altrabia house by chance, but it was definitely one of the most beautiful places we visited. the house and the staff are super nice. 100% recommended!!
We spent a couple of nights in Trabia and this property truly captured Sicilian life outside the big cities and tourist towns. The property offered all amenities for our comfort and the hosts were particularly attentive.
Spacious house with all the amenities you need for a family vacation. The public beach is a short walk. If you want sightseeing Cefalu and Palermo is 30-35 minutes drive. The host is extremely helpful.
Brand new apartment - we where the first one’s staying there with a big terrace with a little sea view. Near the train station if you want to visit Palermo. Free parking available outside.
