This is the perfect place is you wish for silence (only three rooms) and enjoy being mesmerised by a spectacular view of the valley and surrounding mountain. You can really feel the love into everything, Emanuela and Flavio, have created from their in-house honey and oil production to their delicious dinner/breakfast with local ingredients. A real treat and gem of a place.
The only room on the top floor was clean and big, good shower, great double bed, and has an adjacent terrace. Plus it has a coffee machine with capsules if you wish to enjoy an extra coffee.

I personally find this hotel very charming. In Italian "Liberty" style (what is called Art Nouveau/Jugendstil/Modernismo in the rest of Europe) the hotel has indeed kept its architectural features and although some people might think it would need some renovation I think it's perfect the way it is. So nice to spot old heaters with incorporated bread oven or the small food elevator in the breakfast room :).
Both the lady and the guy who run the hotel are extremely kind and welcoming.
Room was spot-clean and although weather had started to be quite warm outside I could enjoy a cool room.
I booked a single room with a single bed and the bidet was incorporated in the wc, which was very practical.
I usually have sweet breakfast and was able to find everything I like, especially whole grain baguette. Very fresh, bought every morning from a bakery for sure :).
Location is perfect. You can reach everything on foot from there.

Beautiful town and great accommodation choices. Loved the old buildings, churches etc but disappointed we could not go into the castle (our fault as I did not check opening hours beforehand) - a great reason for a return visit. Excellent restaurant in the main square

Beautiful old town on top of a hill near San Remo.
Beautiful old town on top of a hill near San Remo. Has a very interesting (and kind of amusing) history. The centre has some steep small alleyways dating from the Middle Ages. They are beautiful, but perhaps not accessible for those with mobility problems… Has a couple of restaurants, but they aren’t always open outside of the season. You need a car to get around, though there probably is a bus as well, if need be.
