The hotel is family owned and operated since 1960. Fabio and Loretta are the most gracious hosts who go out of the way to make you feel that you are at your home away from home. The hotel restaurant staff were all pleasant and helpful, especially Giuseppe and Carlotta, the owner's delightful daughter!
The hotel restaurant served wonderful meals at very reasonable prices. They also provided vegan meals for my partner who was able to enjoy several meals in the restaurant, which hasn't happened in the 3 years I've been with her. The breakfast, which is included, had some of the most tasty croissants I've had. There is also indoor and outdoor seating under a lovely Terrace.
The hotel sits in front of a cobblestone beach that is met by an ocean full of surfers. Bonsai Beach Surf school is on the location. The beach also provides amazing sunset photo opportunities.
The hotel is also pet friendly. The house dog, King Arthur is a sweetheart. While the hotel is actually in Santa Marinella, it is a pleasant walk to the Santa Servera Castle.
The hotel itself was built and designed in the 1960s by Fabio's father. While the decor is a little bit dated, it has a charm and character that is warm and inviting, as well as walls covered by lots of artwork. Some of this artwork was created by the owner himself. Fabio started running the hotel, taking it over with his family in 1987.
We feel like we have made new friends and family that we will see again in the future.

The room was big and very nice. We enjoyed the balcony. The bathroom and shower were nice and lots of room. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The small cafe and the man who ran it were excellent. The rock beach was nice but hard to get over the rocks into the water. Water was beautiful.

It was the perfect stay for my quick visit to Santa Marinella! In this cute little square with a grocery store and multiple restaurants/coffee shops. Close to the water and fun area to just wander around! Like a 5 minute walk to the train station!

Very helpful owners - excellent communication before our arrival. Although the building is on a main road, it's not heavily used at night and we had no difficulty sleeping. Easy parking on the adjacent side street. Exceptionally generous breakfast on the lovely first-floor terrace. Pleasant location with the Lungomare (promenade) only 100m down the side street. Hosts recommended 3 local restaurants, all within 10 minutes walk. It was a Monday evening and only one of them (Il Trabucco) was open - but it was very good indeed, an excellent recommendation. Room had quiet effective aircon. Really nice towels, bedding and toiletries provided.

Beautiful view and spacious apartment enough for six of us and was still a sofa bed extra we didn’t use.
We stayed at Francesca's place “La terrazza sul mare” in Santa Marinella from May 1st for 5 days with family from California before our Europe cruise, and it was an excellent experience. Francesca was incredibly communicative, providing clear explanations before and after check-in and offering helpful tips throughout our stay.
The location is stunning, conveniently situated just 25 minutes from Civitavecchia, and 50 minutes from both Rome and Fiumicino airport. The train station is only a 3-minute walk away, which made traveling easy. We rented a car to explore the city and appreciated having a peaceful retreat in La Marinella to escape the hustle and bustle of Rome.
Overall, Francesca's hospitality and the beautiful, convenient location made our stay memorable and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Santa Marinella is a very quiet town, with very few food options at the time I visited, second week of April. I feel that the beach and bay area could be renovated to be more welcoming. The best restaurant to eat was Punicum, their food was 10/10. It wasn't well advertised, I stumbled upon it whilst out walking one day.

This was a pleasant place to spend a few days before taking a cruise from Civitiveccia which is just one rail stop away. Winter temperatures were excellent for walking around the resort and visiting adjacent towns by rail.
Although winter, the resort still has the main facilities available.

The hosts were wonderful.
The hosts were wonderful. The room was great for a night or two. Located close to beach. The small fridge was appreciated. The pool was refreshing after a long day on the road... more of a large soaking pool with attached jet tub. Lots of outdoor seating and lovely second floor terrace. The breakfast was exceptional.

The apartment is wonderful for families or friends of up to 8 people, Two of which would have to sleep on the sleeper sofa in the living room. The fact that the apartment has two bathrooms makes it especially convenient for this amount of guests.
As for relaxation: the nearest small beach is only a 5 minute walk from the apartment.
The host of the apartment responds very quickly and adequately to all messages on Booking.com. Also to questions regarding the area.
Late night arrivals are possible, which was very useful for us.
Helpfull staff and the room was very clean. Nothing luxurious but suited our needs very well. We wanted to stay by the beach and it was very easy to access from this hotel. It was nice that we could spend the whole day at the beach and just pop by at out hotel room if we needed to. Not the quietest place during summertime, but that was to be expected. I recommend this hotel if you want to be near the beach and restaurants.
We felt so welcomed and taken care of during our stay. The host is the kindest person you’ll ever meet. He made breakfast to us every morning at their beautiful balcony. He offered to let us borrow bike’s and sunbeds for the beach. He gave us tips on what we should see and explore during our stay. We had a day trip to Rome and loved coming back to relaxing Santa Marinella after a crowded day in Rome.
Baia di Luna exceeded our expectations and our only regret was that we did not stay more.
We found the apartment to be spacious and having everything we needed. Everything was clean and the bed and sofa were really comfortable.
It was an amazing experience and we would definitely like to return.
One major plus is that the beach is right across the street, a beach with clean sand and water.
The place it’s totally amazing. The view it’s a dream, you can have a calm and relaxing days here. The rooms are huge, and with a lot of light. The furniture wow, the facilities are perfect. The internet works prefect. The beach are just in front, so you literally can go there in 3 minutes. Alessandro it’s very kind, attentive and the communication it’s great.
The hotel was charming, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Cesare and Simone were incredibly helpful when a some issues came up and only added to a very pleasant, if too short, stay. It was my first night on my first trip to Italy, and I can’t wait to return to this idyllic hotel.
Amazing owners who could not be more accommodating!
Wonderful garden to relax in. Very spacious apartment.
Comfortable beds.
Close -10minute walk to the train station to Rome for sightseeing. Some beach bars are nearby on foot.
Easy street parking for free in front of complex.
The stuff were great, kindly and friendly. the location is awsome, like 3 minutes by walking to the beach. 10 minutes to the supermarkets and 10 mins by walking to the center beach. the breakfast was good enough, not self service but we could say a simple italian breakfast.
The apartment is finished to a really high standard and very clean. It has everything you need in a great location, close to all of the restaurants and the beach. The host was also very nice and gave clear instructions on how to get into the property.
Rooms were spacious and very clean. Ac in all the rooms and big refrigerator. Balcony t o see the sea and private parking with gate so very safe. Walking distance to food and caffe! Pool and beach steps away!
the hosts and views were excellent. lovely sunsets from the roof top terrace. there was a very spacious living area. great stove top and oven. the beach and some good restaurants were very close by
It was very convenient to the train station and the beautiful beach. It had a lovely garden. The room was clean and ours looked out over the ocean. The staff were very friendly.
The beach was definitely a big plus, its why we booked the place. Breakfast was ok. They have good restaurants a walking distance from the hotel (good food)
