My room was cute with access to the lake terrace. I even had a bathtub and a multi jet shower. The bed for my personal taste could have been a little softer. Breakfast was simple and descent. Reception staff was amazing! What's important to know, is that you have limited access to the Hotel by car. The way there is very narrow and for smaller cars only at a certain time a day. It has car parks a little further away tho.

The staff was terrific, the food was delicious, the lake wasn't overly touristy, and our large room was really nice. There is a sandy beach, a snack bar(with adult + beverages),an ice-cream cart, and water-based
activities.

Orta San Giulio is a little hidden gem in the North of Italy. I booked a bit by coincidence and I was very positively surprised. The old center is a very nice place to stroll around and the Piazza Motta is a great place to enjoy one of the terraces.

It is a lovey attractive lake with a very pretty island accessible by ferries from all sound the lakeside villages. San Giuliano is quite beautiful but is a victim of its success because it is difficult to access having to park some way out and walk and is of course very touristy. There are lots of narrow streets and boutiques and some super restaurants. A romantic place. The Venus restaurant was excellent right by the ferry port and the perfect setting for a cocktail and sumptuous meal.

Beautiful little town in the Italian lakes.
Beautiful little town in the Italian lakes. The town is perfect for a relaxed break. There is opportunity for watersports, restaurants and bars as well as swimming in the lake and hiking in the hills and mountains nearby.
You cannot park in the centre of town, so be aware that you will need to walk luggage down to your hotel if you are staying in the centre. We got the train in from Milan, which was very easy and a much cheaper option.

I enjoyed walking around the lake, it was very relaxing.
I enjoyed walking around the lake, it was very relaxing. The lake water was clean and clear with some ducks always swimming on the lake.
The boat ride from Orta San Giulio to Isola San Giulio was short, but there is no social distancing in the boat (I would have avoided it next time).
Sacro Monte di Orta is a must-go, if you enjoy some walking on natural path and also seeing some chapels. Magnificient view from the top to see Isola San Giulio.

We had a really great stay at Aracoelie hotel
Firstly, the staff was very friendly. We had an important phone call before check-in time, and Eliana was very kind and helpful and did everything in her power to make it possible.
Furthermore, the hotel is located very central at a cosy square. We stayed in a superior double room and the room was very nice, specious and clean (We loved the balcony!!!). Also the breakfast was delicious and extensive.
Thank you for the amazing night
The hotel has a great location on the lake at the quiet end of the small town of Horta. Restaurants are abundant within walking distance and transportation by boat from the docks take you to various sites on and around the lake. Walks along a paved path beside the lake starts from the hotel. Other nice walks to the top of Sacro Monte start from town. The views from the hotel restaurant and pool terraces are lovely. Breakfast was good and generous. Parking is very convenient.
The apartment has been beautifully remodeled to include the charm of the original build, but with a respectful, modern touch. The color choices, the lighting, and the appliances all were very well thought out. The beds were extremely comfortable. The apartment is just above the local square, with a wonderful view of Isola San Giulio. The doors leading out to the balcony offer enough sound proofing that the activity on the square in the mornings was not bothersome.
Large hotel room in the perfect location! Close to restaurants, shops, and the ferry pick/up area. Breakfast was included, and the staff provided a take-away breakfast option on our last day since we had to check out before breakfast began at 8 am. The hotel staff communicated in advance the restrictions for entering the ZTL to load/unload bags as well as local parking information which we found very helpful. Overall a great 2-night stay!
The location is perfect, in the historic center of Orta San Giulio, just steps to ferries, restaurants, cafes with a stunning view of Isla San Giulio. The apartment is quiet and fully equipped with all modern conveniences. We enjoyed cooking here. The hosts were friendly and exceedingly accommodating, even giving us a ride to the train station. We will return in summer to enjoy our own little deck for swimming in the lake.
The location is fantastic. We were staying for a wedding on the lake and being right on the square was perfect for meeting other guests. The room looked better than in the pictures on booking.com I'd look at having them redone if I was the hotel. Staff were friendly and always happy to help. We were under two bookings but allowed us to stay in the same room.
Where do I start... The rooms were glorious with beautiful antique furniture, the grounds were beautiful and historical, and the hosts have created a magical atmosphere here which feels like it's taken out of a movie. If you don't stay here while you're in Italy, the loss is truly yours, we will definitely be returning!
A hotel in the centre of the village. Excellent breakfast but needed warm clothing as restaurant is on the roof and early morning in late September is not so warm! Same applied to the excellent evening meal in the roof restaurant. (Note the times in the internet are wrong - the restaurant opens at 19.30, not 19.00).
The location was unbelievable, outstanding. The view and all the area exceeded all expectations. The lake, the town square, Isola San Giulio and Sacro Monte are a perfect summary of Italian beaty. All the people there are nice and kind...
Wonderful stay. Quite a gentile hotel very professionally run. Great staff. Good parking. Best breakfast of a 3 week holiday in Italy. beautiful location for views of the lake. Fridge in the room and safe. Great meal in the restaurant
