Really enjoyed the quietness of the village. We came for the Xmas Market which wasn't as busy as the website on Govone indicated (it said 100 stalls there were only about 20 max). We had a car and went off to Alba during the day on Saturday so I would say a car is a necessity to explore . There are 3 restaurants in the village and a bar in the centre

San Pietro is an amazing place, located next to small church with the stunning views to the wine valley.
Rooms are big and comfortable and well equipped, service super friendly and breakfast can't be better.
Since we arrived, we've got a filling like we visiting relatives not staying in hotel.
The hotel is very spacious, quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is great - lots of fresh fruit, hazelnuts, savory things, and sweet things. At our request, the hotel staff prepared an apericena plate in the evening, which was wonderful. Very friendly staff, thank you very much for a wonderful stay.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to answer our questions and make our stay as pleasant as possible. Also the hotel is dog friendly and the staff were great with our dog.
Extremely clean; comfortable beds; kitchen was well-equipped and well-stocked. The host was easy to work with and responded very quickly. Govone is situated nicely in order to get to many parts of Piemonte.
