Warmly recommend Albergo Centrale to all travelers. The staff is super helpful, friendly and going the extra mile for you (in my case opening the reception before the opening time). The beds are very comfortable and the pillows (often a challenge in Italian hotels) just perfect.
Highly recommend the hotel to people on a bike trip as able to handle bikes and store them securly.

Very nice medieval town with a lively city centre plenty of shops and bars. The Colli Euganei are just round the corner, so its location is fantastic. Nearby there are very good tyipical restaurants with tasty local food and wines, at very resonable prices.

Este was nice and allowed us to travel to other places in an hour or so. Most informal restaurants serve pizza and pasta. There was only one nearby restaurant we found that had a nice variety of food for dinner. It was called Dry Bar. I recommend the seared ahi there and the mushroom risotto. Fabulous!

I was part of a twinning visit so we met locals and were taken around by them.
Noticed huge numbers of cyclists with all the gear in the town... it has designated cycle routes in the nearby Colli Euganei Hills. very beautiful hills.
