Donnalucata is nice, calm but good serviced small town with restaurants, gelaterias and markets. It has nice promenade and beatuful clean sea. I can recommend Blue moon gelateria and Luna rosa gelateria and La Creperia.

And also you can find some attractions for kids.

Lovely friendly little town - a tad overshadowed by Marina di Ragusa just up the road with regards to swanky properties, but much nicer, a real Sicilian find. And - we saw some Montalbano being filmed! 🙂
We really enjoyed our stay at Il Gabbiano in Donnalucata ! :) Antonio, the owner was super nice and he helped us with all our requests (which we had, a lot! :)) He was always around when we needed something, he also sent us very good suggestions on the best restaurants in the village. I also would like to thank the cleaning ladies for taking care of us, even is the shop, when we needed some help with the translation! :D Everything was just perfect! We will definitely come back! :) Grazie! :)
The property is wonderful, nicely renovated offers the possibility to eat on the balcony which is great in summer, has a wonderful garden with pool area from which you can enjoy the sunset and has also a BBQ area. It is conveniently located in the center of Donnalucata and yet it offers also a very cozy and relaxing atmosphere. You can walk to the city beach. Laura and Paolo are great hosts, very friendly and welcoming, the gave us great tips and what to see and where to go.
Right on the beach (soft silky sand dunes), you can hear the sea as you fall asleep. Great views, exhilarating walks along the beach. Great for swimming. The house is cute, stylish and has everyhting you need. Adriano, your host, is very attentive and will always try to help and provide any extras. Donnalucata is a 30 minute walk along the beach; in the other other direction there are 2 bars close by. Excellent for dicovering the area, Scicli, Sampieri, Modica and Ragusa.
A great hideout a bit more off the beaten path for visitors who like more quiet (we travelled in April, there were very few people at the beach), we loved the tranquility and view from veranda on the sea. Important sights and locations easily reachable by car (Modica 20m, Ragusa 30m, Noto 60m, Syracuse 60m, Agrigento 90m, Catania 2h), supermarkets are nearby. Rossella our host was very helpful - recommended stay to experience Sicily.
The terrace was much bigger than we expected and it was really amazing! The bed was comfy and I really appreciate that the air conditioning was in the bedroom and also in the kitchen. It was about 5-10 minutes to both beaches which were really beautiful.
The umbrella on the terrace was broken I wrote to Eva on a Sunday morning and on a Sunday afternoon some guy came to fix it - I didn't expect it that fast at all. Thanks a lot!
Spotless clean and tidy, nice interior with antiques, rustic style yet all modern facilities, also temperature regulation. Beautiful well kept garden, short walk to nice beach, beautiful sunsets from the pool terrace. Good tips about escursions and food from the hosts. The eco-friendly profile a big plus.
Great attention to detail and everything new. Lovely staff who were ready to assist. Loved the pool and the breakfast in particular (shout out to the chef’s Nutella pancakes), as well as trying the wine they produce. So nice to find such a full service hotel in a local non-touristy town. Will return!
Mirella and her team make you feel at home. They give excellent tips for day trips, beaches and restaurants. The rooms are spacious with excellent bath room. Swimming pool and area are great and very peaceful. The chef cooks wonderful on site Sicilian meals. Great breakfast as well.
Modern hotel sitting serenely on the waterfront of a delightful small town. Our water facing room was spacious with much appreciated luxurious touches. Breakfast outdoors was very good and best of all was the wonderful service and hospitality of the front desk staff.
