The family are amazing, the home was absolutely perfect. The space and smell reminded me of my childhood at my nonnas home.

Very friendly host, nice old town in vicinity, Appartement in the nature on the mountain top, private and romantic place between olive trees and wine
As the name explains itself. Dolceacqua is a beautiful, romantic small village situated in the mountains along a river. 15 odd minutes from the coast. Packed with charm, culture and ambience. Lots of quirky little streets to get lost in. A medieval castle, shops, galleries and restaurants. We'll worth the visit

A big surprise is that this tiny village is is only a few kilometres in from the coast (you can see the Med from the castle), and also a few kilometres from France and Monaco. Yet it's a world away.
You really could see most of the town in a few hours; including stairs, winding alleys and the 'new' town across the river. Plenty of bus groups take pics on the famous bridge (painted by Monet), and then hike up to the castle and leave within an hour. But this is one of those places to sit and enjoy a coffee or a meal, and soak in a bit of old world charm. There are also plenty of friendly small shops where you can buy great smallgoods and pastries, as well as more mundane provisions.
I was very pleased that my accommodation was so near the bridge, because it had a lovely view over the river, and direct access to everything from right outside. But also because I'd hate to schlepp my bags up all those stairs into this vertical village!
The views up the valley are positively Alpine, yet there are Riviera beaches only 10 minute's downstream. If you've spent a bit of holiday time at one of those busy resorts, this could be the perfect 'time out' locale too.

Wonderful location to visit and a fabulous b and b, couldnt fault.
It does say it has internet, but it actually does not have internet in the b and b, not the fault of the owner, but just caused by the location .
We happily lived without internet inside the house for our 2 day stay.
the owner has provided English speaking channels on the TV so that is available .

Dolceacqua is a medieval town full of history and tradition. I suggest to go as soon as you arrive to visit the Castle, from which you'll have a beautiful sight of the landscape and could learn a lot about the place. I had a very good dinner at Agriturismo I Gumbi, typical and genuine food. Don't forget to buy local wine (Rossese and Pigato) before leaving!

Beautiful place that suites best for those who enjoy peace and great views. There are only a few restaurants but the food you get is great. I recommend that you rent a car - a very short distance to seashore or to South-East France!

This is an absolute must to start your trip near Dolceaqua, the village with the bridge is very beautiful, spend some time on the terraces is a really nice atmosphere, lots of places to eat Ligurian food and little bars. Also, the surrounding mountain villages you should visit, small, genuine, local life and shops, beautiful views everywhere, bougainvilleas and oleanders!
Dolceacqua is a nice city to visit and spend a little time. There is free parking around the city and we were lucky to find a free spot twice when needed, because there are many cars.
They sent us a video in advance on how to find the apartment, because the entrance is quite hidden. There are narrow and steep stairs leading up 3 floors, so you should be good on foot. The apartment itself is spacious, clean and has everything you need.
Also checkin and out was easy and flexible with time.
We really loved this place. The location is wonderful, in the beautiful old part of Dolceacqua. The apartment had a nice view on the old bridge. We couldn't reach it by car but there are plenty of car parking facilities nearby. The owners are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing! Bettina had something freshly baked each morning and the omelettes are just perfect. I would recommend everyone who goes to Dolceacqua to stay in this unique place.
Good emplacement (near restaurants and parking lots), close to the historical centre and a nice view of the castle. There is little to no noise in the area surrounding the appartement
The flat was clean and very charming, the kitchen was fully equipped which is nice when you want to limit your food expenses !
The hosts were very kind and answered quickly if we had any requests
property was renovated to a very high standard, was in a great location, and was spotlessly clean. Paulo was a great host, very helpful. The sun terrace was great to sit in early in the morning, and in the evening, we felt we were part of Italian village life.
Dolceacqua is a beautiful, peaceful place, and this property helped us enjoy it.
A spacious apartment with everything you could need. An easy short walk into Centro but just far enough away to be peaceful. Right by the river. Dolceacqua is a wonderful town to explore with the castle and its fascinating labyrinth of shops and homes. Our hosts were helpful, cheerful and kind. Parking right outside.
we stayed in the suite with view to the castle: we had an amazing time, the room is very beautiful with a lot of luxury, it was really clean and the staff is kind. dolceacqua is a very nice and historical place. strolling through all the little streets felt like going back in time.
Really exceptional breakfast with some local delicacies, everything very fresh. Excellent for travellers with a dog. Relaxing location with a lovely garden within easy walking distance of the village which has nice restaurants and bars (and a fantastic castle). Great hosts.
Beautiful surroundings and stunning view, following a short, steep ride up from the picturesque village of Dolceacqua. Enthusiastic, helpful host and kind and caring hostess. Delicious dinner and breakfast and gorgeous interior decorating. Would love to come back here!
Booked this as a surprise for my partner's 24th birthday and it exceeded all expectations! The room was stunning with an excellent view and the breakfast was wonderful! Monica was extremely helpful and the restaurant she recommended was fantastic.
Talking Stones is a perfect spot for exploring Dolceacqua and the surrounding region. it is elegant without being stuffy. Every detail is so carefully thought out. On top of everything, Monika is the perfect host.
