Average hotel a million miles from anything. My negative review is because the food - was terrible. Awful awful awful. So bad, that we wouldn’t even eat breakfast or even order a coffee after one day we did and it arrived cold.
If you have points, and expect a basic stay, fine. But absolutely nothing about this hotel is special. Or worth the trip given it’s an hour drive from anywhere. Waste of money. I’ve never been a Hilton fan anyway, my first stay has solidified that it’s a basic hotel and never again. I’m absolutely sure that a boutique 3 star would be much much better.
The pool is pretty.

Set at the south-western tip of Y-shaped Lake Como, the town of Como offers wonderful views of the surrounding Alps. A funicular railway runs up to the village of Brunate from where you can see Switzerland on the opposite shore.
The peaceful location has long been a favourite with celebrities, but the town has been around since Roman times. In fact, 2 of its most famous sons – Pliny the Elder and Younger – are commemorated in statues on the façade of the 14th-century cathedral. The next door Broletto dates to the previous century, and even older are the remains of the medieval walls and Castello Baradello, sitting on a hill overlooking the town.
Much more modern in style is the Casa del Fascio, built during Mussolini’s rule. The streets between here and the waterfront are packed with shops, bars and restaurants, and Lake Como boat trips depart from the small marina.
The neighbouring park houses a temple-like museum about Alessandro Volta (another former resident), and around the shoreline is elegant Villa Olmo which looks across landscaped gardens to the water’s edge.
The Como accommodation on Booking.com includes luxury lakefront hotels, town centre B&Bs and cheap apartments near San Giovanni Train Station, which offers direct services to Milan.

Como has a mixture of great shopping. The market is amazing. Lovely restaurants, You could dine in a different place every day of the year. It is a beautiful place. The lake views are wonderful. There is some construction going on at the lake from, but it will be lovely when finished.
We have been many times and it never disappoints. It is our favourite place in Italy.

Very pretty with plenty of place to eat. Interesting market. We found getting a bus around the lake and taking the ferry back worked best for us as the queue to buy ferry tickets can be quite long in Como.

Como is good for a centre to see the Southern part of the lake. The downside is it is very busy. Too many day trippers. The boats are crowded and long queues. They have also dug up most of the promenade at the moment which spoils the lakeside area. The bus is a good alternative to the ferry. Best to stay here a few days and then move on to Varenna, Lenno or Mennagio.

Stunning town in a beautiful part of Italy.
Stunning town in a beautiful part of Italy. Good transport links via Milan (land at Linate airport, then metro to Milano Centrale station, then train). The town itself is the main attraction, with great restaurants, and good shopping from groceries to fashion. Then you can visit the smaller towns of Lake Como by ferry or bus.

Try not to travel in peak season. Sooo many tourists!
Make sure you book ferry travel (for the lake) day before but be aware tickets are non refundable. Big cues at the ticket office...go early!!
Slow ferry outward bound is great with the fast ferry for return. Tickets are not inexpensive if travelling on a budget however well worth budgeting for! Como and the townships along the lake are beautiful!
Try to find places where the locals eat....in the back streets usually.
Como was our last stop after six weeks in Italy .... we were a little over visiting cathedrals etc however we really enjoyed site seeing and sitting in the local cafes people watching.
I loved everything about this place. Small charming family hotel, excellent location, very close to bus station, train station (Stop: Como Lago) and ferry. The best restaurants and cafes on the lake shore are just around the corner. The rooms were very cosy and clean, bathroom small but you really don’t need bigger one, very comfortable bed, air conditioning was good. The owner Isabella was very kind and helpful. There is a luggage room in case you have a late flight, you can leave the luggage there.
Best B&B experience ever ! The apartment is clean with everything needed to enjoy the stay with a five star hotel quality. We really enjoyed our stay from the bed quality to the amazing breakfast with the spa to relax after long days of discovering Italy. The location is perfect : 10 minutes driving from the city center of Como and 30 minutes from Milano. Finally we met an amazing host Grazzie Mille Andrea for everything, the B&B was at your image and we can only recommend it.
Everything was above my expectations!
* The location was great - quiet and at the same time in the heart of the Como city. Our room had an amazing view of the lake.
* The hotel was so clean, and well organized, with beautiful garden. It looks like a brand new! Rooms were clean and everyday we had a new soft towels. The bed was comfortable.
* The staff was very kind and helpful.
Thank you to a great welcoming host. The location was perfect in a nice quiet area of Lake Como. The property was immaculate and the room had all the little extras you would find in any 5 star hotel.
The staff members were extremely professional and gave great advice for making my stay very memorable.
I would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!
There was nothing to dislike. The location has to be the B&B’s biggest asset but the room was also perfect. Loved having the little balcony which we could stand at on a morning/evening & look at the Lake. Stefano & his wife were so welcoming & hospitable, they really care about your stay & your time in Como. I would choose staying here again over a hotel any day!
Great location in Old Town for shopping, restaurants
and near the piers for getting the boats around the lake. Breakfast was a good continental type Breakfast . Very good overall standard for a 3 star. Good base if you are not spending long in the hotel each day. Staff were friendly. Good value for money for Lake Como. Would recommend.
The house was very clean, like a brand-new place, and it felt like a 5-star hotel. Besides, all the appliances were new and there was great noise isolation the way that even if it was next to the most crowded street in Como, our little baby could sleep well. The location is also perfect so, I highly recommend it for families.
amazing location right on lake Como allowing the most beautiful view, the room itself was spacious and clean providing a lovely stay. And to accompany the host was the most accommodating person I’ve met on our Italy trip going above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing but perfect, made it a very special experience.
Great location! A perfect overnight stay after a day spent exploring beautiful Como and the surrounding area. A large bathroom, a comfortable bed, perfect air conditioning, a fridge with cold drinks and a coffee machine - what else?☕️😉Very nice owners. It was my best rest in Italy😎
The hotel is close to the center and the lake and a good starting point to explore Como. The hotel and the rooms are very clean. The breakfast was a good buffet with everything you need for a good start in the day and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The location was perfect for being close to the train station. A short half mile walk to all the fun places near Lake Como. Right around the corner is a great morning cafe. My phone died and a local could direct me how to find the hotel. That’s nice!
The hotel itself is nice with good views over the lake. The rooms are clean and bright and there is parking immediately outside. The breakfast was OK, but with room for improvement. Its in a good location if you are passing through the Como region.
Great little hotel in Lake como. Clean rooms and spacious. Wonderful shower and was close to the train station, the ferry and a laundromat. Best part has a local bakery was also close by. Would recommend if you need to stay in lake como.
Staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. The suite was big, modern looking and clean. The hotel was very close (walking distance) from key spots in como such as the como lago train station, the ferry station and city center.
The front desk staff and breakfast staff were amazing. The hotel is beautiful and we would stay here again! My mom and sister stayed with us and they said Como was their favorite out of the three locations we stayed.
Great hotel in a nice piazza near the lake, ferries and other attractions of Como. Room was clean and cozy and staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great! Great experience and place to stay in Como!
What a wonderful hotel with beautifully kept lounges and rooms. The flowers looked amazing, the breakfast was excellent. Staff at reception very accomodating, it was a fantastic stay!
Perfect location in Como. Beautiful rooms, great staff and a delicious free breakfast every morning. The best of the three hotels we stayed at during our trip.
