We enjoy walking and staying in Cernobbio was very relaxing and charming. The restaurants were plentiful, with many available outside seating. The lake is beautiful and serene, and we enjoyed a ferry ride around parts of the lake. The wind was troubling on the day of the wedding ie. glasses whisked off their tables, music, and camera blown over)...We stayed 4 nights and would certainly return to Cernobbio in the future!
The C-10 bus at 2:30 and 3:30 pm were over-packed. I would not try this again.

Cernobbio is quite small, in that the centre is very compact (easy to get around!). We travelled to Como (from Bergamo apt via Monza on public transport) and the bus and ferry options make for easy local transport.
Friendly place, NO sense of getting ripped-off as a tourist and good options (for all palates) for cafes, restaurants and bars.
Ideal touring base if you don't need the hustle and bustle of a larger town - and if you do then stay in Como and do Cernobbio for the day. Small = friendly and the locals were very helpful and wanted to serve us well.
Last weekend was the Villa d'Este (and also at Villa Erba) concours of elegance, so if you're a (classic) car nut then it is a 'must-do'!

Would recommend this location if you want a nice small-town atmosphere from with amazing views from where you can visit all other towns on Lake Como.
If travelling off season be aware that ferry times are different. There was a 2-3 hour waiting time to catch a ferry to Bellagio. I found Bellagio nice but 1 day was more than enough to visit and none of the hotels would have had the view as the one from Cernobbio.
Found Villa del Balbianello in Tremezzo was the best from the other couple we visited.

Cernobbio is beautiful, quaint and no hustle or bustle. It was easy to take the 'lake boat taxi bus?' to other parts of the lake. Fortunately for us the weather was hot during our stay. There was a rain shower one evening and night but was dry during the day. The food was priced high but that was expected. The food was generally very good. Absolutely recommend restaurant 'Il Gatto Nero' (a George Clooney favourite we were told). Also for the best Pizzas Albergo GIARDINO Ristorante Pizzeria. You wont go wrong there. Both are in Cernobbio. The streets are narrow and full of character. It's a beautiful romantic place.
Perfect location: quiet, nice, multiple restaurants, ferries go every 10-15 minutes. Very close to Como (city). Comparing to Moltrasio, Chernobbio is larger and more filled with attraction points where to spend time. The embankment close to ferry gate is very nice.
The apartment is spacious and well organised with all the facilities you need for a short stay including cooking equipment and a washing machine. Everything was spotlessly clean.
It is set in a quiet area a short walk from Lake Como. There is ample parking (for a small additional charge), a lift and a pleasant outside terrace with tables and chairs.
We arrived long after the 6pm check in deadline having been delayed by heavy traffic and long queues at the Swiss border but Sergio very kindly waited for us.
The location of this hotel is perfect. Cernobbio is much more quaint and calm than Como, yet close enough to explore everything and the hotel is right by the ferry pier. The view is amazing, definitely pay for a room with a view if you are staying here, although you couldn't see the view from our bed which would have been lovely. The balcony was a real bonus. After comparing so many hotels, this one definitely seems to have been great value and we would stay again. Breakfast was also great.
This place was absolutely STUNNING!!! The pictures online do not give justice to how incredibly beautiful the view, rooms, pool, and surrounding area are.
I would highly recommend it to anyone! You definitely need a car to get to this hotel, but there is plenty of parking nearby. The breakfast was great and lots of food is included. You have the option to sit inside or outside in the most beautiful garden setting. We had a fantastic time celebrating our honeymoon here!
The rooms were amazing and the views breathtaking. each morning Anastasia and her staff prepare a great breakfast. She is extremely engaging and made dinner reservations, boat reservations, etc. The pool was fantastic and again, the most amazing views of the lake. the overall location in Cernobbio was highly convenient to everything.
The staff was extremely kind, they are all very cheerful and warm-hearted. The location of the hotel is phenomenal and the view of Lake Como is incredible. The hot croissants you get in the morning at breakfast are without a doubt the tastiest thing we've tried.
Wonderful small village on top of the hill overlooking Lake Como. The apartment is very clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you will need for your stay. Easy self check in with key lock box. Free parking space in front of the apartment.
