We were upgraded to a room with a sea view as soon as we arrived which was a lovely surprise.

Very beautiful, levely, cozy city and hotel. Seeing Vesuvio and Napoli coast from your hotel room was amazing!
Loved the views, sea as well as cozy and beautiful narrow lanes. Pompei, Napoli and Sorrento are close - you can get there either by car or train, but Castallamare itself is amazing too: I really enjoyed funicular ride, mount Faito, Scavi di Stabia, street art, nature and views.
Food was a bit of gambling - 50/50 - kind of hit or miss
Overall I loved the experince and even though the city is quite small I'd like to come back there and explore items I didn't have time to explore this time

An interesting area - a slice of real Italian life which we enjoyed after the hustle and bustle of some of the more tourist driven locations.
We ate at La Medusa Hotel sampling exceptional gourmet fine dining.
There are regular train stations travelling along the north and south coast making it perfect to get anywhere.
Local boat trips take you on refreshing scenic coastal tours, however the day trip to Capri was extremely busy with tourists.
An Amalfi coast boat trip is a must and hop off at the little village gem of Positano.

Surprised to find my original review did not "save" properly. We absolutely loved our accommodations. (Two couples) The view is spectacular up and a bit out of the way. We drove down from Rome airport and enjoyed recovery soaking in the sunset on our first night. The hosts were gracious with our delayed arrival due to heavy traffic. We saw Pompeii and Sorrento the next day then much of Amalfi on the third day. We should have planned another night. So perfect! Beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed accept we should have bought a big bottle of water along the way.

A perfect location on the train line between Naples and Sorrento so perfect from which to explore the area. I was alone so didn’t venture out much at night but this certainly seemed an option if desired.

The port area is not renovate at all, the outside walls of the buildings are exfoliating and everyone is drying clothes outside the window which is looking very bad. The place is getting very crowed and the driving here is an adventure to escape without a scratch.

I've been visiting Castellammare since 1978.
I've been visiting Castellammare since 1978. Some terrible damage was done in the earthquake of 1980 but the city has progressed past that and is now a beautiful place again. Even better than before. I love the atmosphere and the friendliness xxxx

The bedside floating shelf broke when I put a 2 litre water bottle on it. One of the knobs on the front door came off. Noise from the street is big. Nice bathroom. Comfortable bed. Good central location. No parking.

We highly recommend Simones hotelroom. It was such good that we extended our stay. Ideal location to visit Pompei, Ercolano, Capri, Positano; due to nearby railstation. Beach nearby. Breakfast better than average Italian hotelbreakfast. Owner easily to reach, also very friendly when we contacted him for questions. Owner has many recommendations for visits. The hotelroom seems newly build with latest technology (floor cooling system, air humidity control system, sound isolation, luxereous bathroom, huge tv flatscreen).
I had an incredible stay at this hotel. Its location is perfect for those who want to avoid the crowded Amalfi and prefer to explore by ferry. It's also conveniently close to numerous restaurants and the main road. The hotel itself was impeccably clean, and the staff, especially Elisa, Giovanni, and the whole team, were truly exceptional in making my stay memorable. The breakfast, with a view overlooking the water, was a great way to start the day. Highly recommended!
The hotel is fairly new. So anything you touch - is new! Everything is clean, tidy, neat. And, obviously, the view! Stunning. And staff can't be more helpful. This is a family run business, and it is an amazing family! They meet me like a long missing family member coming back home. Nothing was too much to ask. Car parking facilities, etc. All the essentials are there. Close to town and the beaches. Brilliant altogether.
Nicola went above and beyond to help us with everything including accompanying us to find parking space when we arrived to a very busy town centre. Unit was small but clean and functional and when we asked for extra items they were promptly provided. Super close to train . Once we rotated the foam matress to put the soft end at the foot of the bed, it was very comfortable for sitting up and sleeping
Excellent location, close to public transportation. Spacious and well maintained apartment. Full equipped kitchen.
The town is charming.
The house is located in a strategic position, near the Circumvesuviana and a stone's throw from the center.
Special words of gratitude to Lucia, the host. Our whole family appreciates her responsiveness, cordiality and willingness to help in difficult times.
Hospitality, in particular the friendliness of the staff who were very helpful, patient and knowledgeable. The hotel is in a beautiful garden, has a great view and offers great food. There is a small spa with a great team who do not only offer excellent treatments but who also do their utmost to accommodate unforeseen changes (eg delays due to public transport).
It had every kind of comforts including pans, coffee, the moka, 2 bottles of water, hairdryer and towels and other utilities.
The apartment was very clean and spacious and had a very strategic placement, near the beach but also to the centre.
You can also have a parking lot right downstairs in a closed space (not a garage)
I’ll definitely coming back
The B&B is very clean and confortable. Every room has its own bathroom and the views from the windows are excellent. It is very well located, close to the sea, the train station and from the city centre. The rooms are huge.
Castellammare di Stabia is stunning small town that deserves to be explored.
Very comfortable and spacious room, super clean and located in a quiet area. Enrico was so kind and helpful! We didn’t have a car and found it easy to get around the Amalfi coast. Getting to/from the B&B requires some walking, but we didn’t mind it and kept us in good shape.
Very good hotel, nice sea view, very clean rooms! Free indoor parking! But the staff was outstanding - meet us outside the hotel, parked our car, got the luggage inside and served a welcome drink despite it was 11pm!!! Great experience!!!
Thank you!!!
Lovely property in an historic building in Castellammare di Stabia. Spacious and comfortable. Host is accommodating and friendly. Walking distance to transportation, supermarket, restaurants, sea front. Be sure to visit Monte Faito
Very friendly and efficient staff, always ready to help or provide local information. Grand old hotel, spacious and clean, very nice swimming pool and pool area.
We love the Congressi.
We enjoyed views to the open sea and mount Vesuvio. Hotel facilities and stuff were really good. Garage is worth mentioning, too. Great location for visiting Pompei, Naples, Sorrento.
The apartment is ideally located a 2 minute walk to the ferry to Capri - and a 12 minute walk to the train. We enjoyed how spacious the apartment is and the king bed is comfortable.
The pool and beach were amazing. The pool staff were wonderful. The location with it being on one level and not having to climb stairs. Housekeeping did a beautiful job.
