Hotel Concorde, hotel in Arona

Set right on the lakefront, Concorde is 5 minutes' walk from Arona centre on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Guests have free parking.

Great revamped room over looking the lake. 5 minutes walk to town you can avoid the 100mtr road by cutting by the next door restaurant, by a foot path. A great little town with lovely views would hesitate to go back in that standard room. Simple but nice breakfast.

Hotel Atlantic, hotel in Arona

Set in the heart of Arona, on the shores of Lake Maggiore, Hotel Atlantic is next to Arona Train Station. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi access.

Staff, Cleanliness, Comfort, Value For Money, Location - all 10/10; Marco the Bar Man with the red watch strap is particularly helpful; Could fairly be described as 'Cheap and Cheerful' but in reality it is actually so much better than that! Decor of the bathrooms from the 1970's but a great modern shower and cubicle; Nice pizza restaurant on the mezzanine floor across the car park by the train station (look for the bright green lighting); I would definitely stay here again if re-visiting Arona; Has this quirky sort of Twin Peaks (the tv show) vibe about it, which is part of its charm;

    We really enjoyed walking on the lakefront, though the mosquitoes (naturally) seem to love that area too. Be sure to pack repellent spray because they're pretty insistent. The outdoor market by the boat terminal was a pretty nice way to spend half an hour. On our second (and last evening), as we were walking from the city center to our hotel (by the train station) we stumbled upon an outdoor cinema which was pretty cool. One of our favorite places to eat on that particular trip was at Giulietta al Lago. The food was good, we had a table right by the lake (so we were "visited" by swans who got like 2m away from us), and the music was non-stop 80s hits which put me in the absolute best mood.

    Arona is a lovely town on the South West shore of Lago Maggiore, just a nice size with plenty of restaurants and bars, many with lake views. A great location to spend a few days or longer in the region.

    I had been there a few years ago and it was full of artist and artisan shops. This time is was very commercial, which for me, was disappointing The town is still beautiful by the lake and has a great piazza with entertainment.

    We had two days here in February. We really enjoyed it and would visit again. It was fairly quiet which was good. It looked like it could be very busy mid-summer. The full cruise ferries were not working but the shuttle ferry to Angera was still open. We used the train to travel further north where there were other ferries to catch. Would have liked to spend a few more days in and around Arona.

    Arona was a perfect destination for a short break.

    Arona was a perfect destination for a short break. Just 45 minutes from Milan Malpensa, at the foot of Lake Maggiore. The old town was very pretty with good shops and great choices of affordable restaurants - we like ristorante da Aldo and L'Anticogallo. There is lots to do in the area including bike hire (we cycled up to the national park nearby) and boat trips to neighbouring lakeside towns and islands. Although a car is helpful we found the buses and trains were good.

    I was there only for a business meeting, but the short time I stayed made me fall in love with the town, the scenery and especially the people. I will surely come back one day with my family for a longer stay this region deserves.

    Very comfortable, modern apartment on the main street coming into Arona from Malpensa Airport - very easy to find and there is private parking at the rear. Thoughtful and stylish fit-out for travellers - great kitchen and bathroom and a really nice balcony overlooking parkland on the shores of Lago Maggiore. It is a little out of town, but there is a lakeside walk into Arona for restaurants and shops, and there is a good supermarket next door. The owners were super helpful. We only stayed one night, but would love to return.

    We stayed for 3 nights. I got up in a good mood every single morning because the view out of our window over the sea was so amazing. The room was simple but nice and clean. The contact to the host was magnificent. She could be contacted about WhatsApp at anytime and answers always in time. Also she seemed to be really interessed that we had a nice stay - she contacted us regulary to ask if everything is alright and gaves us helpful advices for restaurants and activeties in Arona. We are thankful for a beautiful stay!

    This amazing place was the best one in our 17 day journey in south Italy (we have 4 houses) The house is situated in the wood by very closed to Arona. Francesca and her family is leaving near the house and they are very friendly and very good people. It was ideally for us and for ours 3 children’s. Really thanks for this amazing stay to Francesca! The breakfast was really rich delicious and fresh with wonderful cakes that Francesca and she’s daughter Lazen made. Every day was another tasty things to eat.

    This is a very nice hotel just a short walk to the waterfront area with restaurants/cafes. We use this hotel as a stay the night before we fly home from Malpensa/Milan as the airport is only a 30 minute drive from Arona. The hotel is clean and the hosts are responsive and helpful. The parking is easy to access, with plenty of spaces, and the breakfasts are quite impressive, with many choices laid out in a large room. I highly recommend staying in this hotel.

    An outdated hotel but professionally managed and with a customer-oriented staff (for example: ordering a breakfast package late at night and collecting it early in the morning from the night watchman at the Reception was no problem, the attentive waitress who was preparing the breakfast room , came quickly to ask which patisserie I wanted). The reception area / lobby has very comfortable seats. Everything is neat and well polished.

    What a beautiful Location, right on the Lake front. Superior rooms with balcony were excellent, clean, comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very good, very fresh continental with other extras. Location was perfect for the Ferry / Boats and Trains. Lots of restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend, especially a superior room with balcony & Lake view. A good Italian 3 star Hotel - and Location is everything!

    The accommodation has to be one of the best places in Arona. The room we stayed in has views of the piazza and the lake, giving a unique experience. We could feel that the host loves what she does and wants to transmit the best experience possible about the accommodation. It's a must-return.
