Very relaxing town, but with all the mod cons, shops and restaurants.
We had a great meal at the "Old Saracen" restaurant. And snacks and pizza in town. The old town on top of the cliff is quite impressive and atmospheric, there are nice restaurants and bars there, too.
There is no good information about the bus service, the stops and timetables are difficult or impossible to find. Rail travel is easy, for example to Paestum or Salerno, but the busses are very badly organized. The beach at Trentova is horribly crowded and thick with seaweed and rocky. Go swimming at Paestum (Laura) instead.

A pretty old town with a castle that can be visited on a steep cliff above the sea. The new town is not over-touristy with a lot of genuin Italian atmosphere but also a lot of noisy traffic. Generally the South of Italy seems to be populated by people heavily dependant on constant car use which some may find quite old-school. A lot of unnecessary plastic is in use everywhere and there is still a lot of room for improvement concerning protection of the environment.

Nice town with old part with Aragonése castle (2euro entry).
Nice town with old part with Aragonése castle (2euro entry). Municipal long beach along the embankment to the North, but nicer beach located 1,5 km SW (at the opposite side of the town) Could be overcrowded in high season.
Paestum Greek temples nearby worth seeing anyway - best preserved Greek temples in Mediterrannean and arch.museum.

A resort/working town.
A resort/working town. I have stayed here before and found it a good place to stay. Not the best to drive around but that is not a reason to stay away. I do like the area around the city and Paestum is a bonus.

Perfect place to relax and enjoy a beautiful, more quiet area on the Amalfi Coast. Baia Trentova is a secluded beach; clear, shallow, soft sand. Near Paestum, an extraordinary Ancient Greek and Roman city, with stunning almost intact temples

A beautiful ancient city.
A beautiful ancient city. The Port of Agropoli and and the Mediterranean Sea are breathtaking. The Angioino-Aragonese Castle is stunning. The buzz on the street in the evening was amazing, so much fun. Lots of wonderful restaurants, quaint shops, cafes, etc. Downtown was a short walk away and had everything we needed. The food was, well, you can imagine. Agropoli has a brand-new train station that made it easy to get to from the major cities, and afforded cheap and fast access to other locations in Campania, like the Paestum and the beautiful beaches further down the coast. The hill walking was intense, as Agropoli--like much of southern Italy--is built on a hill. We really loved it.
Located in Agropoli, less than 3 km from the nearest bar where they serve a delicious local pastries and have really good coffee, grocery store and gas station. The room ( studio ) is lovely, very clean, it has everything you may need for your stay. Every detail of the room was carefully designed, by the owner, who is also a very kind host, prepared to answer any question you might have. On the terrace which offers a sea view you can relax in tranquility. We really had a pleasant stay at Luna Nella Mano.
Agnese is a kind and warm host! She's very helpful and always cares for her guests. The B&B is always very clean and the position is very good especially if you reach Agropoli by train since it is at walk distance from the train station (no noise at all) and at the same time it's close to both beaches and the city center. You can also find very easily a post office and a supermarket in the neighborhood. The breakfast is reach and vary. I really enjoyed my stay at Maree B&B!
The apartment was perfect for our last few days in Italy. The price is excellent and a great value. Be sure and accept the host’s offer for excursions because he is an excellent and informative tour guide. He offers private Pasteum, buffalo farm, ceramic workshop tours, and more that include transportation and facts. Giuseppe, the host, also speaks fluent English and provides maps and dining suggestions which are helpful for first timers like myself from the US. Book today!
Large spacious room, well lighted & nicely decorated. The bathroom was a good size for Italy and the shower was great. We parked in a nearby parking lot that was free when we were there in early April and it was a 5 minutes walk to the apartment building w/ suitcases. We waited outside the building cause we didn’t know how to get in. Giovanna gave us lots of recommendations. Ristorante Pizzeria da Ciccio was great. Reasonable price and good food.
Quiet and serene. Beautiful view of the coast. The hotel room was modern, comfortable, and air conditioned. Breakfast in the morning was amazing! They have olive oil from their own olive trees, freshly picked apricots, a cherry tart made with organic cherries from the property, coffee to die for made with coffee beans they roast themselves and it’s not the watered down espresso that most others make. The owners are wonderful people as well!
Lovely tranquil location with a fantastic pool. The hotel had a calming restful feel. Very clean-in fact our room was cleaned daily. Excellent friendly staff where nothing was too much trouble. Stayed in a spacious family room with Juliet balcony with two bathrooms and a sea view. An easy less than 10 minute drive to Agropoli and the coast. The owner was very helpful with suggestions and maps of local attractions.
Everything perfect. Great Location Not to far from Agropoli and perfect also to see other Atraction in Cilento. The owner are very helpful. They will try the best to find a Solution for your needs. Room are very clean. Breakfast ist selfmade and typically Italian. Will recommend to All who want to see Cilento.
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly hosts, backyard patio at your disposal (good place to dry laundry), big homey room with good electric lighting (hotels often forget that some of us like to read at night. Location is great - a bit of a walk from the station, but it lands you near the centre of town.
It was in such a perfect location & has such beautiful views. Adriana was so welcoming & went above and beyond to make your stay special. the food was the best we had whilst we were in Agropoli. the bed was comfy & we can’t wait to visit again.
Incredible value for money. Our stay was great, very comfortable beds and great Aircon ensured a lovely sleep. Rooms are bigger than the photos and easily have enough space for two. I will be back to Agropoli and only staying in Blue Bay.
The location was terrific and the staff very pleasant. We enjoyed our stay in Agropoli spending one day at the beach, walks through the village and exploring the castle and museum. Also had some great meals.
The people at the hotel were very friendly and happy to converse with me in Italian.
The restaurant was convenient and excellent.
I felt the quality was 4 star even though the sign said three stars.
Beautiful place with beautiful hosts. Very accommodating when our arrival was delayed by hours. Franco was wonderful. The kids were calling him Italy grandad. We will definitely return
Location is fine, near old city and on the right side it town for walking to Trentova beach (best beach in Agropoli). Many nice restaurants nearby. Sunset view in old down amazing.
Family managed hotel with good breakfast, outstanding pool & view, with comfortable beds. Family that manages their B&B is INCREDIBLY helpful and absolutely made our stay amazing.
