I will go out on a limb and recommend Cedar Inn to anyone travelling to Darjeeling. The Hotel has an "olden times" feeling about it, the staff was very courteous, rooms and facilities very clean and breakfast rich and savoury. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the Darjeeling center, but still within a 15 mins' walk from it.

It's so crowded. There are few spots that u can visit, but most of the time in the year there is tight traffic jam and u can hardly cover one or two spots in a day. In addtion u can't enjoy the scenic beauty because of the crowd. U can't njoy the peace of the hills. If u want to njoy mountains, tranquility, scenic beauty of hills then kurseong or kalimpong is the best.

Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks...
Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks were a bit disappointing as there was a fair bit of pollution and cloud, so not clear to see. Very cold as well, waiting for sunrise, but plenty of vendors selling hot drinks.
Sherpa Tensing Norgay’s house is a must see( although I didn’t as I became ill), as is ‘toy’ train, which is a narrow train that chugs up and down through nearby towns.
There is a huge Body Shop as well.
Tea plantations are interesting but not open all the time.
Clothing is fairly cheap, especially puffer jackets.

The breakfast was simple and amazing. They provided us with tea in the morning and also along with breakfast. They served it on the open balcony from where you can view the whole of darjeeling with Kanchenjunga in the background. Best scenic breakfast ever.
The host is one of the friendliest dudes I've come across. Went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Even we asked him to arrange our sightseeing car.
The hotel is worth it and look exactly like the pictures they have posted.

Beautiful stay!
Muscatel Bhumsang is a perfect place to stay in Darjeeling. It is close to chowrasta which is the main market(10 mins walking distance). The room was very pleasant, it was cozy and clean. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel team has always been friendly, patient and helpful. And the Manager (Ms.Brinda) behaviour that impressed me the most. She was ready to help us with anything and everything. On my next stays, I will definitely check into this hotel again.
Location shows 300 meters from center whole actually it 3 k.m. from Darjeeling Male. Location is main disadvantages of this hotel. It shows 5 star while it does not deserve any star. Room is not clean. I booked 3 rooms for 3 nights @ 3,150 Rs. per night assumed that proximity to Male. But it does not worth my money. I feel cheated and booking.com have fair share on this without checking any background of hotels listed on its website.
Buffet breakfast was excellent. Ambience of the Dinning hall was awesome. Food quality was very good with great variety.Rare information's about Mt Kanchenjunga and about Darjeeling and history of natives of the place were given in Dinning hall and entire hotel through hanging photos on wall was great for gathering knowledge. Superb hotel with an amazing panoramic view of Kanchenjunga.great location.
Location was excellent. Close access to the Mall Road and the in-house Mall stay is a brilliant combination! The room was super clean and bathroom was very tidy maintained with all essentials. The staff was very helpful and responsive to any needs and asks anytime! Highly recommend this hotel for a family stay looking for the perfect location in Darjeeling!
Family was helping and friendly, they kept also our luggage for 10 days while we were in Sikkim. We rent a good bike through them. The room was clean and cozy. The location is in Lebong, for us this was good because you are away from Darjeeling traffic and noise, to go up you can easily take a share taxi after a 5 minutes walking.
Excellent location with marvelous view of the Himalaya. Property is not big but cozy with almost all facilities of a star hotel. Manager, Mr. Singh and other staff are very co-operative and helpful. Surely recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay at Darjeeling.
The view of Kanchenjungha and Darjeeling from the room was amazing and breathtaking. The staffs at the hotel were very cooperative and helpful. The rooms were spacious and well maintained and designed. It was perfect for a family trip with elderly and kids.
Lovely staff. Fantastic location. There’s nothing negative to say about this hotel. Everything was perfect. I was even upgraded to a higher room category without me asking! I’ll definitely come back to this hotel every time I come to Darjeeling.
Great place to stay..Hotel is in prime location. you don't have to worry about anything once you checked in. great room, mesmerizing view from the room, peaceful, worth spending money on this property. staffs were amazing. Chef 😘for food...

Each and every services was satisfactory. Staffs are very cooperative. Location is good. Breakfast is highly appreciated. I will definitely visit this hotel if I come to Darjeeling.
