Darjeeling is truly queen of hills but recently the places...
Darjeeling is truly queen of hills but recently the places are becoming polluted due to lack of waste management and tourists throw plastics everywhere, in that point Sikkim is more ahead of Darjeeling. Transportation and foods all are good here. Observatory hills, Lepchajogot offbeat, Tinchulley Offbeat, Himalayan institutes and zoo, Batasia loop, Rock Garden, Tiger Hill, tea estates, mall road all are beautiful and Gelenary's , Keventer are my recent favorite food-ing activities as I am a foodie girl. And we have literally travelled on foot the whole Darjeeling throughout the day, it is my best experience with 2nd visit.

It's so crowded.
It's so crowded. There are few spots that u can visit, but most of the time in the year there is tight traffic jam and u can hardly cover one or two spots in a day. In addtion u can't enjoy the scenic beauty because of the crowd. U can't njoy the peace of the hills. If u want to njoy mountains, tranquility, scenic beauty of hills then kurseong or kalimpong is the best.

Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks...
Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks were a bit disappointing as there was a fair bit of pollution and cloud, so not clear to see. Very cold as well, waiting for sunrise, but plenty of vendors selling hot drinks.
Sherpa Tensing Norgay’s house is a must see( although I didn’t as I became ill), as is ‘toy’ train, which is a narrow train that chugs up and down through nearby towns.
There is a huge Body Shop as well.
Tea plantations are interesting but not open all the time.
Clothing is fairly cheap, especially puffer jackets.

The breakfast was simple and amazing. They provided us with tea in the morning and also along with breakfast. They served it on the open balcony from where you can view the whole of darjeeling with Kanchenjunga in the background. Best scenic breakfast ever.
The host is one of the friendliest dudes I've come across. Went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Even we asked him to arrange our sightseeing car.
The hotel is worth it and look exactly like the pictures they have posted.
We had a wonderful stay in Darjeeling at Magnolia Residency.
Every morning, we had a delicious warm breakfast. We could discover local specialties such as Momos and Bhaley bread.
The lovely family running the hotel was incredibly nice, as well as their staff.
We also enjoyed the lovely rooftop terrace where we could drink Darjeeling tea in front of the hills.
It was quite an experience to stay at Olive tej Hotel Darjeeling. It is located at the heart of the mall with the Glenarys' right in front of it. The staff team was very welcoming and helpful; and our room was beautiful. But what we enjoyed the most was the lemon tea that they served and we are still looking for the anonymous tea leaves 😊😊
