Tinakilly Country House Hotel, hotel in Rathnew

Built in 1883 and located on an oak-lined avenue, Tinakilly House is a 4-star Victorian mansion set in 7 acres of landscaped gardens with stunning views overlooking the Irish sea.

Check in was easy and friendly. The bar is small and cosy and the dining room is shaped and laid out in a way that you have plenty room to yourselves while chatting over a meal. The gardens are beautiful and we enjoyed a few walks around. The pergola type structure near the house is stunning.

Great local brewery - Wicklow Wolf 🐺 open to the public with a tap bar serving locally brewed beer which is also served in the hotel bar Justine who was one of the breakfast staff gave us a good tip to explore Cobh down.near Cork which was on our trip... The location and hotel was all that you could wish for, dinner was excellent, breakfast good. hotel was an older property but was very clean through out. staff very good. This property would have been a ten out of ten but for a few problems stated below. In spite of the problems listed below,we would stay here again but in a room nearer the front of the hotel where the internet signal is stronger, also check up on the heating etc.

This is a lovely concept, cozy huts, all the facilities you would need, comfortable bedroom, great shower room with powerful shower and great space, sofa and full kitchen. Outside would be lovely in the summer as there is a bbq and outdoor seating. This is a peaceful quiet place close to Rathnew, close to Wicklow town and Ashford where you will find beautiful walks and a short taxi ride to restaurants in these towns.

What a gem of a hotel. Beautiful historic manor house and gardens . We booked an evening meal and the complete experience was wonderful from the waiting staff to the food . We found the complete dining experience exceptional and good value for money. Big spacious bedroom and bathroom. All in all a unique stay in a manor house and great value for money.
