Set in a Designated Area of Natural Beauty, the award winning BrookLodge & Macreddin Village has elegant modern rooms and extensive facilities which include an indoor-to-outdoor pool, Hammam massage... Hard to single out a particular thing as our two day stay was thoroughly enjoyable. All the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The smell of burning wood from the open fire in the reception lounge. The outdoors hot tub is so enjoyable. Everything in the spa is spotless and very well maintained (swimming pools, sauna, steam room) and comfortable. We did not opt for the fine dining restaurant but enjoyed tasty light food in the confortable bar-lounge.
Hotel in Bray
On the picturesque seafront with beautiful views across the Irish Sea, The Martello Hotel offers hotel rooms or self-catering apartments. The room was very clean and cosy, the bathroom was brandnew with a waterfall shower and a hand shower (both). The room was cleaned and made every day and the supplies of coffee, tea, sugar and milk were replenished. We got new towels every day, although it wasn't really necessary. We could have had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, if we had wished so. The hotel is situated at the beach and there are many restaurants and bars where you can have a good time. We did not find it noisy though. You can also walk the cliff path from Bray to Greystones (approx. 6 km) which is gorgeous. The location of the hotel at the beach is splendid. The train station of Bray is approx. 300 m away (a 5-minute-walk), there is a train to Dublin every 10 minutes. The train ride into the centre of Dublin takes about 50 minutes though, because it has many stops. We did not mind, however, because we could plan our day in Dublin during that ride. There are also two supermarkets near the hotel, a SPAR and a TESCO, and many Take-away restaurants. We had a lot of privacy, we only talked to the receptionist when checking-in and checking-out, She was very friendly. You feel very welcome in this hotel, everybody was friendly and helpful.

Wicklow
Wicklow County is beautiful. The owners of Knockrobin Cottage are lovely people who make you feel welcome in ireland. The two little dogs are very well behaved. This place was a good choice.
Ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant, good food. Very friendly staff, particularly at reception, who went above and beyond to make a taxi reservation for us and then find us in the bar to confirm it was done.
Great facilities, amazing food at Hugo’s, staff were very helpful
Property is absolutely beautiful! Food and drinks in both the restaurant and bar were really good but dinner was a bit pricey for what you got. Beyond that, everything was wonderful!
The room was a large suite with a separate room that had seating and a small table. We explored the Glendalough and Wicklow area from there each day. The staff in the dining area were very Irish and very endearing.
Large rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Great car parking
As we were leaving early for the airport we could'nt avail of the breakfast, we were very pleased to learn that a takeaway breakfast was left with the night porter for us to collect. Very nice touch
ambiance, gardens, view from room, size of room
Wonderful location with amazing views. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Food from the restaurant was excellent.
Beautiful and very cosy family runned hotel. We were overwhelmed by the Irish hospitality and warm atmosphere. The full Irish breakfast was excellent. Also very nice cozy restaurant with traditional Irish food
The cottages were so comfortable and much bigger than we expected. Kitchen was fully stocked so we were able to cook all our meals. The views were stunning, the farm animals were so friendly and entertained the kids all day long. This was the best place we have ever stayed and will return again. The cottage had 4 single beds and 1 queen with super comfortable linens. 3 bathrooms. Wood burning stove. It was super clean. And had a washer/dryer. Amazing place for families.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable and even though there was a bar downstairs it was very quiet and we enjoyed our privacy. We had dinner and breakfast there and both were excellent. The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here!
Absolutely idyllic property - the house is beautiful and the gardens exceptional! So many nooks and crannies with benches to sit and relax. Everyone there was incredibly friendly and clearly cared deeply about the property.
Very cozy cabin and extremely clean. The host had great tips for trips in the area and was very kind. The kitchen has everything you need. Great place for a relaxed stay in nature!
