If youre looking for a Quiet Peaceful Get Away this place is ideal!!!! Only a stones throw from nearest Village which has a few nice place to eat out. The apartment...was more like a house!!! Beautifully furnished....cozy and absolutely immaculate!!! To say we were impressed was an understatement!!! The host was amazing and was kind enough to leave us bread...milk ...butter...biscuits!!! Our stay was a 5***** stay and we will be back for a longer stay during the Summer!!! This property by far was cleaner than any hotel weve ever stayed in!!! Hats off to the hostess...well done

The proximity to the airport, I think we were less than 30 minutes away from Knock airport.
The locals, on the final evening we were there, we ventured into Dun Mor (the closest town). We sampled 4 pubs and the local Chinese takeaway (The May Flower), everyone we met was so friendly and welcoming.
The games room, pool table and darts with a beer to finish the evening off.
The breakfast, a nice full Irish breakfast to start the day off.

After a frazzled couple of days of driving, what surprised us most was the immediate calm we felt upon entering Castle Hackett. The room was big and beautiful, the beds were crisp and comfortable, and the shower was the perfect temperature. The children were delighted with the cows in the adjoining fields.
Breakfast the next day was serene with the smell of the turf fire, the gentle lull of Irish music and the perfectly cooked breakfast.
Did I mention the beautiful views of rolling fields, the interesting history of the building itself, the library filled with books, comfy chairs and board games or the looped forest walk leading to a castle ruin on your doorstep?
Above all the warmth of Joyce and Aidan's hospitality was the highlight of our visit.
