Gorgeous hotel with professional, courteous staff. In particular Ross and Katie were both so helpful and excellent ambassadors for your hotel. A quick mention also for Diana at Clover Thai. She gave me a wonderful massage that added to the luxury feeling of the hotel.

Location was excellent. It is really easy to get around Dun Laoghaire. There are lovely shops and restaurants in Dun Laoghaire. There is also a theatre and cinema. The walk down the Promenade all the way to the lighthouse is a must visit!! Teddy's icecream is a lovely treat afterwards, classic 99 icecream. The staff in the hotel were welcoming and helpful. Our room was tastefully decorated with all requirements met. Sumptuous breakfast. Beautiful spa and pool for R&R. Lovely lobby area to relax overlooking the sea. Really nice bar. Overall a really good vibe to the hotel.

We used it mainly as base to visit Dublin (it's 20-30 minutes by tram) but spent some time walking down the harbour, it's quite beautiful and you can see people learning sailing. There's some museums and monuments worth visiting (sadly we didn't have enough time), and good places to eat. Make sure you try the fish & chips by the waterside. We were actually there for their local St. Pat's parade and it was such a great time!

Dun laoghaire is a special place to me.
Dun laoghaire is a special place to me. My gran swam almost every day in sandy cove. I've raced ironman 70.3 also from sandy cove. And the pier is always a place of memories as my aunt also lived nearby. I learned to sail in the harbour on visits as a kid. The town has a lively lovely coastal vibe.

Hotels offers a wonderful Breakfast for 15 euros and standard Pub menu for dinner usually with a daily special. The Pub was first rate and has plenty of beverages to select from, I would suggest a pint of Guiness. Parking is adequate although a little tight for larger sedans. The rooms are very well kept and bathrooms are supplied well. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I plan to use this Hotel for future visits to the Dublin area.

It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely area.
It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely area. We had no view, so we couldn't really enjoy it. We were there for such a short time it was wasted on us. The room had a smell like sewer, but the beds were comfortable. The reservations desk seemed a little clueless.
The breakfast was really expensive, so we couldn't eat there and when i got recommendations for restaurants by the water, the reservationist lady only recommended one restaurant, Hardies, which was affiliated with the hotel. It was hard to get into and there were at least two other restaurants we could go to.

Lovely harbor town!
Lovely harbor town! Good public transport to/from, many restaurants and cafes, great views. We enjoyed walking along the harbor piers. We had great food at The Vanilla Pod, Gourmet Cafe, and Sushida! We used the DART to travel to Bray one day, went into Dublin and up to Howth other days. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Stayed two nights at Claremont House last week. Ideally located near DART and easy access to Dublin city centre. Short walk to beautiful Dun Laoghaire and Sandycove. Daniel, owner of Claremont, has his own restaurant close by called "Daniels" - what a gem! It's small and cozy but the food produced is all fresh and mouthwatering and something you would expect from a Michelin restaurant - can't recommend it highly enough!!
If you want to experience what Ireland once was, book a night in this mini period house. I liked it very much. The room has a character of bygone times. The owners keep everything clean and tidy. With a map I found it without any difficulty. It was only a short 4 minute walk from Glenageary Dart Station. I chose traditional breakfast which was filling and very tasty. I'm grateful for this lovely experience.
This charming, VIctorian-era hotel has a lovely lobby and bar. The older rooms are a bit drafty with slanting floors, but it is worth having a gorgeous view of the Irish Sea. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Emma left the front desk to carry my heavy bag down a long flight of slippery stone steps to the walkway.
Stayed here many times. Its good value for money indeed and nice little place near everything in the town luckily for me never had rowdy noise in there always been quite not sure how sound proofed it would be if busy? As its small but i do enjoy it in the area! So stay here regular if travelling to Ireland 🇮🇪
Room was ideal, bathroom perfect. We wanted for nothing! We met and talked with the hotel Manager several times, no complaints, just general enquiries, and he went above and beyond, walked us around, talked and we have nothing bad to say. The position was ideal for town, eats, walking, train, etc.
The owners are very kind, they also run a restaurant nearby. The breakfast is delicious and the house is clean and full of historic charm. Finally, Claremont House Is located in a lovely position, near the sea and Dun Laoghaire. Also, it is only 20-30 minutes by train from Dublin. I recommend it!
The best thing is the location. Dun Laoghaire is beautiful, 1/2 hour from Dublin downtown via DART, and many amenable places to eat. It's also a quiet and relaxed neighborhood. The bedroom was clean. It offers an electric kettle and oreo cookies.
Lovely old spacious hotel with nice commonual areas, comfortable room with small balcony, cafes, bar, swimming pool & spa area. Easy access from free car park. Close to the pier and cafes, bars and restaurants around. Nice small grounds as well.
I stayed just before a sailing excursion so I could be well rested and close to the harbour. Wonderfully furnished hotel, the room was very pleasant (see photos). Very comfortable bed and very spacious room. I enjoyed having a radio.
The only thing this property has going for it is location. It is convenient to the rail station into Dublin. Otherwise, it is not worth staying here and I suspect there are other options in the area, equally convenient.
Staff welcoming and efficient, from person on door to reception and Parlour bar. Free parking. Comfortable bed. Handy to get DART into Dublin centre. Public areas very comfortable and nice not to feel confined to room.
It was wonderful to have a pool, spa, sauna, and steam room. The property is close to the bus stop. The breakfast was nice. The bartender was so lovely and helpful as was the front desk staff.
