We stayed four nights in the suite. Very spaceous with an extra „reading“ room. Perfectly equipped with an outstanding breakfast. It is such a silent place. Perfect to relax. Tim is a great host and gives very detailled information about the area and recommended a couple of tours.

As always, Murrays mountain was warm and welcoming, spotlessly clean, very very comfortable, it feels like my second home.
The views from each room are spectacular, the room itself is huge with ensuite, wardrobe, comfy chairs tv hairdryer, toiletries, kettle tea coffee, biscuits, beautiful matching furniture and soft furnishings, absolutely stunning house.
Quite central to so many beautiful places and Bernadette the owner is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the area.

We' ve stayed for 8 days in this holiday home and had the most wonderful time. The apartment is so comfortable and had everything we needed, even for our little daughter (high chair, toys, Mini bathtub, ...) Our host Cathy was always available if we had and questions and we can just thank her for the great time. :)

The staff were so friendly and accomodating, and really made us feel at home. The food was also specatular for both dinner and breakfast. Finally it's located right in the centre of town and with handy parking.

One of the few hotels that can accommodate big families. The room was beautiful and the staff were extremely friendly. Such a lovely hotel.
I was happy with the accommodation and the local pub(s).
I was happy with the accommodation and the local pub(s). However, please note that this is all in a small hamlet called Boolteens, which is about 3 miles from Castlemaine, so you don't need to visit the latter!

I noticed the host had dried out another family's coats for them (yes, it was raining!). She was very welcoming.
The B & B was all you would hope for, and to top it, the restaurant/bar next door was great for food and relaxing in. (And, there's another bar over the road for Sky sports if you want to bet on a horse!)
Castlemaine has a statue of The Wild Colonial Boy.

We visited Tralee a few times and we were delighted with the places we ate. We had a lovely meal in both La Scala and Yummy. We also went to Camp, Castlegregory and visited The Maharees. We found our way home through the Connor Pass. The views were breath taking.

This was the 1st night of our stay in Ireland.
This was the 1st night of our stay in Ireland. Willie can't be matched for his knowledge of Ireland and hilarious stories. He is the epitome of a gracious Irishman and host. Our stay at Castlemaine was a great experience. People everywhere we went in the area were very friendly and helpful. Nearby Cobn was colorful and interesting. Dinner in the Commodore Hotel bar was delicious. More places to visit than we could squeeze in with two days.
A great base to explore the Dingle Peninsula, Killarney or Tralee. The breakfast is fab cooked by Tim who is an amazing host who goes the extra mile for his guests. He brought me a honey and lemon drink to help soothe a persistent cough. We were in the Mountain suite which has a separate sitting area with a TV and a wide selection of books. Tim had also provided a bottle of wine and some sparkling water in the fridge. I highly recommend a stay at Alderwood House.
The location was great for exploring Kerry. Tim and Karen were excellent hosts, very helpful. The accomodation was great too, really nice having a sitting room as well as a bedroom, and lots of really nice touches. And I need to give a shout out to our 2 furry hosts who gave the friendliest welcome!
The host's Bernadette and Jimmy were very welcoming and friendly. The house is immaculate with beautiful gardens The room was very spacious with everything needed provided. The bed was the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in. I would highly recommend a stay at Murray's mountain view
Easy to find with Google maps. Convenient to walk to the Anvil for dinner. Breakfast had multiple options and was delicious. Room was bright good view, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Nice towels, toiletries and shower. This is an old house but charming. Thank you Mary and staff.
quiet area to relax. perfect location to do Dingle Pass and Ring of Kerry. Hosts was very accommodating. made fresh brown bread which was left for us at check in. Made tarts fresh and again gave us a couple. Very accommodating! Would book again next time we are in Ireland!
Myra is a lovely host. Our room was perfect for the night after touring the Ring of Kerry. The room had a spacious area with a single bed and separate area with double bed with bathroom. Very comfortable. We added breakfast to our stay and it was delicious! Thanks Myra.
We were surprised at how good the location was as we thought it would be more remote.
It was a great location for exploring the Dingle Peninsula and North Kerry.
There was plenty to do and see in the area for all the family.
Amazing price and great location. The host John is a wonderful man who has stories for days. Make sure to ask for breakfast, which was the best I had in Ireland. I can’t recommend this place enough and I would stay here again.
Absolutely charming house, clean, comfortable, private bathroom, very friendly staff, fresh breakfast, a very short walk from pubs, cows and a massive bull calmly grazing away on the property, I’d 100% stay there again!
The breakfast was excellent, the accommodation is well placed to visit both Dingle & Killarney, apart from recently coming out of Covid there would have been live music on the weekend but the venue was excellent anyway
Beautiful rooms, very comfortable. Lovely host, made our stay very comfortable and relaxing. Amazing value for the 2 nights stay we had, definitely reccomment staying here, I know we will be every time we're in Kerry.
Excellent place, spotless, very well equipped, comfortable , great location for exploring Killarney and the Ring of Kerry. Superb communication from hosts. Easy checkin and out. Looking forward to returning
Everything! John was a lovely host and made our stay extra special with a full Irish breakfast. The location was also perfect as it was close to all the main activities including Dingle and the Ring of Kerry.
Wonderful stay! We loved this place! Everything was comfortable, clean and cozy. The host was the absolute best! We had dinner and breakfast here and both meals were amazing. We would definitely go back.
A really comfortable house. Well equipped kitchen with washing machine and dryer. Private car parking/garden, ideal for evening BBQ! Great location for touring both Dingle Peninsula and Ring of Kerry.
Castlemaine House is a great base to stay before doing the Dingle Peninsula. Easy to find, good parking, friendly helpful host, nice breakfast, and an excellent pub next door for dinner.
Beautiful, pristine countryside lodging with a spectacular view. Very comfortable, clean and spacious accommodations. We ate a delicious dinner at a nearby pub.
